The Obama administration now has three intensifying scandals on its hands, a “hat trick” of corruption comprised of the Benghazi cover-up, the administration’s unjustified surveillance the Associated Press and Fox News, and, of course, the outrageous abuse of IRS power for partisan purposes.
In fact, so many tyrannical abuses are coming to light that the “big three” are likely only the tip of the iceberg.
In any other era of American history, just one of these scandals could topple a presidency. Now, they are symptomatic of an ideologically-driven administration creating a thriving culture of corruption, aided by a sympathetic mainstream media that often resembles a publically held arm of the White House communications office.
Upon my return from Israel next week, my Liberty Counsel team and I will meet to consider our legal options against the IRS in their targeting of Freedom Federation, an important collaboration of over 30 conservative groups I founded a few years ago.
But for now, we must demand congressional action to hold responsible parties accountable, from the top down, for the egregious partisan violations being exposed in the IRS handling of non-profit status determinations.

Beginning in January 2009, when President Barrack Obama was sworn into office and Democrats controlled both the House and Senate, conservative Americans were confronted with the extreme leftist actions of the Obama/Reid/Pelosi axis of power.
Meanwhile, the rise of radical ideologues inside the entrenched bureaucracy steadily increased under the President’s nurture. Now, administrative action inside the Executive Branch is the chosen instrument for advancing the so-called “liberal progressive” agenda.
The Internal Revenue Service, as we are learning, has literally been functioning as an arm of the Obama political machine for many years now.

Since the scandal at the IRS came into public view, we have been introduced to some of the radical bureaucrats who have been brought into administrative power by carrying out Barack Obama’s political will:
Steven Miller was asked to resign as Acting IRS Commissioner, but he “presided over the ruin of many businesses and personal fortunes, not to mention the damaging of many others…” according to C. Edmund Wright, writing in American Thinker.
Lois Lerner, the lynchpin of the current IRS scandal “is nothing more than a partisan hack, carrying out a war against conservatives over multiple decades and in multiple departments” according to Wright.
Sarah Hall Ingram was Lerner’s predecessor at the IRS and was also responsible for the persecution of Christian groups, religious organizations, and conservative entities. She was rewarded with a large bonus authorized by President Obama and promoted to head up the IRS ObamaCare enforcement division.
Sadly, these Big Government change agents used their power not to serve all Americans as they had sworn to do, but to “change” America – one lawsuit, one application denial, one invasive questionnaire, and one unjustified audit at a time.
Meanwhile, our President asserts that he first learned of the IRS scandal on the news at the same time we did, notwithstanding the fact that reports show that senior members of the White House staff were informed of the Inspector General’s investigation into the IRS targeting of conservative groups long before the 2012 general election.
It’s time that we aggressively confront the tyranny, the culture of corruption, the massive government overreach, and the condescending arrogance that has permeated the ranks of our nation’s “public servants” under Barack Obama.
The actions of the IRS are egregious violations of the social contract between the people of the United States and their elected leaders – and we must take immediate action to expose those who allowed this abuse and bring the responsible parties to justice!
We are calling for a complete investigation by Congress, including the establishment of an Independent Counsel to completely expose the IRS abuses.

As I have said in prior messages, because of your support of Liberty Counsel, you have been injured along with many, many others through the IRS’ targeting of conservative groups – including the Freedom Federation, a collaborative group of ministries, companies, and individuals with shared concerns over the path this nation is taking.
I founded Freedom Federation (FF) to give a strong voice to America’s pro-moral, conservative citizens, and it is now clear that members of the Obama administration wanted to squash that voice.
There are over 30 conservative organizations, including Liberty Counsel, that make up the Freedom Federation.
But the IRS has yet to act upon our application for non-profit status. Freedom Federation has been waiting on its status as a 501(c)(4) tax-exempt organization for well over a year, and it now seems apparent it was one of the groups targeted by the IRS.
The IRS misconduct – abuses that may well have altered the outcome of the 2012 elections – must be exposed! I urge you to add your name today to this extremely important petition:
