Moms Against Hunger Feeds Moore, OK The people of Moore, Oklahoma are in desperate need of our help right now. Monday’s devastating tornado has not only destroyed hundreds of homes and left 3,000 without power, it has been confirmed that it also took twenty-four precious lives – some adults, some children. With miles upon miles of property left destroyed and at least two-hundred and forty injured, Oklahoma’s need for immediate aid is clear. That’s why Moms Against Hunger is responding. Senate panel OKs tax-welfare benefits for newly legal immigrants The Senate Judiciary Committee voted this week to allow illegal immigrants who get legal status to begin collecting tax-welfare payments, as the panel spent a fourth day working through amendments to the massive immigration bill and party-line splits began to emerge. Ah, but you see, there is a very good reason. Read More |

The Department of Homeland Security is not required to build a fence (which was ordered by the Secure Fence Act signed by President George W. Bush). DHS is required only to submit a plan. If the DHS Secretary decides she has not reached 90 percent of border security, a “trigger” kicks in: the creation of a Southern Border Security Commission empowered (horrors!) to make recommendations. After six months of pondering its mission, the Commission automatically self-liquidates, so there will never be border security. Read More |
