Kicking We the People when they are down

The occupant of the Oval Office is now proposing a "compromise" budget to entice Republicans to raise taxes.

The occupant says he is willing to cut Social Security and Medicaid as bargaining chips to raise taxes on nearly everyone in America.

According to the Tax Policy Center, taxes would increase for 98 percent of households making between $75,000 and $100,000 a year--that's households, not individuals--meaning you are in for a tax increase.

At the same time, if you are on Social Security, you will get a pay cut.

The occupant's plan penalizes both married families and senior citizens for his and Congress' very own irresponsible spending.

It also limits how much you can save in your IRA. Can anyone spell C-O-M-M-U-N-I-S-M?

This is the type of leadership that kicks the people when they are down.

Unemployment remains around 8%. Even more so, the Wall Street Journal reports enrollment in the food stamp program has increased by 70 percent since 2008--that is since this president took office. A record 47.8 million people as of December 2012 are on food stamps.

The stagnating job market and a rising poverty rate are the driving factors. Think about this: 15 percent of the US population receives food stamp benefits, nearly double the rate of 1975.

The government is printing and spending money at alarming rates, inducing staggering deficits and debt, raising taxes, amid increasing welfare participation.

This is outright lunacy. Or is it crazier like a fox? On one hand, it seems surreal that a government would continue growing itself, continue raising taxes and increasing spending, placing more and more burden on its citizenry, inducing systematically more government dependence through entitlements, limiting retirement savings, and knowing full well that its actions erode the job base.

On the other hand, this is exactly what the communists and socialists do to a nation--they pilfer its wealth and the wealth of the people all along making them think it is dealing with a crisis in the best interest of the people. Meantime, the occupant and his family are taking million dollar junkets, buying expensive clothes and playing golf.

Is it just me, or does anyone else see the "god" complex here? Communism calls for the abolishment of all religion making the state god. The leader of the communist state usually lives like a god.

This is a very cunning government--both parties as there is no opposition to speak of--that would install ungodliness and communistic governance while making the people think they still have a say. There is only one God and it is not government.

As Paul writes in 2 Timothy 3:13, "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." We need to call it like it is. These are evil people we have elected and they will wax worse and worse so long as we allow it. Let us pray and act.
