Rome Had a Senate

A friend and fellow writer sent me an article with a lot of quotes from many famous people throughout history, which gave me the idea for this column.
“Ancient Rome declined because it had a Senate; now look what is happening to us with both a Senate and a House”, and come to think of it; “There ought to be one day– just one– when there is an open season on senators”.
Will Rogers 1879 – 1935; Will Rogers was one of my heroes, actually he still is even though he has been gone for quite a while.

He was known to many as a cowboy philosopher, who wasn’t real long on formal education, he dropped out of school in the 10th grade, but he spent his early years in a saddle from before sunup till sundown, and once remarked it is just amazing what you can learn sitting on the back of a horse, and horses for the most part are a darn sight smarter than most people especially politicians.
Speaking of the Roman Senate way back during that time, there lived a greek fella by the name of Pericles, who, in the year 430 B.C. said; “Just because you do not take an interest in politics doesn’t mean politics won’t take an interest in you”!
That sort of ties in with a fella by the name of Voltaire (a French writer), who said; “In general, the art of government consists of taking as much money as possible from one party of the citizens to give to the other”.

It also ties in very neatly with an America Writer who said a little over a century after Voltaire; “No man’s life, liberty, or property is safe while the legislature is in session.

Simply stated folks, we are not safe in our own country, the enemy is not foreign invaders at the gates the enemy is our own government filled to overflowing with career politicians most of whom are lawyers, thieves, and ganefs who couldn’t hold down an HONEST job, and that is precisely why we must not, under any circumstances give up our weapons, which are our only means of protection and survival from these snakes.

All three of those monsters disarmed the people before they fell on them like predators and literally devoured them by the millions, (men, women, and children).
Politicians have been trying to suck the blood out of people since man first walked out of his cave and stood upright.
I don’t know what they called them back then (I’m not quite that old), but you can bet you butt there has always been some clown or group of clowns who think they can run other people’s lives better than they can do it for themselves.
All 546 of the snakes who inhabit Cesspool D.C. need to be incarcerated, Treason by way of continually abrogating their oath of office on a daily basis is a good place to start, and make sure there are term limits on the new bunch who will replace them so we don’t have to go through this crap again, otherwise we might as well assemble the firing party now and get it over with.
Tuition Assistance for Military members has been cut off but the schmuck in chief still gives benefits to illegals, and RELEASES them from custody instead of deporting them, that should tell any sane person that this scumbag and his cronies and henchmen not only don’t work for us as they are supposed to be doing, but do not have the best interest of this country and its’ people at heart.
WAKE UP AMERICA!!!
