Just a Flash Poll here: What would you think if you asked a relatively-known writer, who just today came out with a seemingly anti-Obama column, this question for his opinion:
"What is your accepted/perceived definition of "natural born citizen"? Even more so, what is/are your congresscritters' "accepted/perceived definition of 'natural born citizen', especially considering Senators' Cruz and Rubio's particulars".
And his answer was: "
"I do not have a definition of "natural born citizen." The Founders were all "birthers" insofar as they did not want a foreign-born person holding high office. I am sure a bit of research will yield an answer to your question, but sadly I think the public has moved on from this question....

Senate Republicans are using the debate around the Fiscal Year 2014 budget to push as many of their far-right ideas as possible, including now a move to have the United States completely withdraw from the United Nations. [The far left is calling it a far right move, but it is NOT. This should have been proposed years ago. We will now see how many neocons oppose this measure] Call your Senators and ask them to support this!!
Comment: Just a little addendum to Devvy's on the mark comments. As we've repeatedly said "...what good does impeachment do? Answer: ABSOLUTELY NONE. Now, what harm can it do? Answer:
1) Not likely impeachment proceedings will ever happen...UNLESS the crittercabal wants to declare him not guilty and dismiss it....and then he skates on all else...AND THERE IS NO NULL AND VOID...WE LOSE.
2) BUT...let's say it gets started. WITHOUT CONVICTION, it is meaningless...and that, FOR SURE, will NEVER happen. If it even looks close, he will resign, BiddieBoy becomes #1, he pardons, nothing changes...no NULL AND VOID...WE LOSE. There is precedent, you know.
BUT, maybe I missed something, please tell me any benefit in impeachment? Now, some will say that it would get rid of him. To which we say, "Are you still in the sandbox thinking that he's the one doing "all this"; he's a front man...period. ALL of our readers are more capable than he is".
Without the usual commentary about Barry Soetoro aka Obama and what he's done and is doing to this country, is there any way to get him out of the White House?
There has been a cry to impeach Soetoro for years by well intentioned, patriotic Americans who don't understand the issue of 'natural born citizen' and why Soetoro cannot be impeached. I'm not going to rehash it here because I've covered it in several columns already.[1],[2], [3], [4], [5], [6]
You cannot impeach a usurper because as a candidate who had no legal right to be on the ballot, no one had the right to vote for him. Willard Romney won the election in November 2012, because Soetoro wasn't an eligible candidate. An impeachment would serve the shadow government quite well because every bill he signed into "law" would remain as legitimate, as would the unlawful confirmations of two U.S. Supreme Court Justices, Sotomayer and Kagan. Stop all the petitions to impeach Soetoro. It would set one of the worst precedents in our history because it would open the door for more impostors to lie and cheat their way into the White House.

Comment: Ms. Constantini (I hope that's her married name) provides nothing of any clarity; just seems to intentionally create more confusion. Backs up nothing in her compensated opinions.
Further, she does even worse, makes a total misstatement saying, "In 2011, Obama released his birth certificate". To be clear, Mr. Obama did nothing of the kind. HIS OWN Original Birth Certificate is still reportedly sealed and vaulted at $5 million taxpayer expense. The image (not document) shown was allegedly released by the Hawaii Health Department and...do check Ms. Constantini...is NOT certified as his "Original Hawaiian Birth Certificate" or even remotely close. Plus, the word "THE" in the "certification" statement is spelled "TXE". Where's the stamp that did that? Need a copy? Do compare that with the Nordyke Twins' 1961 birth document on file.

Comment: This one definitely rates a comment for its lack of disclosure in saying, "While no president-elect has formally tested the “natural-born citizen” requirement, several have run for president with that question hanging over their candidacies."
First, citizens have tried (and still are to this day) to validate no other candidate more than Mr. Obama...and yet he is not even mentioned in the above. Eligible or not, fair journalism requires a mention.
And then, in mentioning John McCain and the senate resolution, it left out one MONUMENTALLY important word in that crafted resolution. It's "NON-BINDING".
And this statement, per its likely intent, should read ".....Congressional Research Service has even weighed in on the issue, writing in November 2011 that a child born to U.S. citizens (plural) in foreign countries.....qualifies as a natural-born citizens". Instead, it was written nebulously.
It's a shame that WaPo has morphed away from its former journalistic integrity.

Personally, we don't know if Mr. Obama is eligible or not, FIRST because his valid, rightly-certified "Original Hawaiian Birth Certificate" has never been released. Doing that is a simple task, and required of every child who wants to play in Little League, Pop Warner and other such organized activity. Then, we can all move on.

Comment: This is one of the few times we post what that O'LIElly DirtBag says. Still, THE BIGGEST LIE of all was/is that he said (and the recording is still available) that he personally got Mr. Obama's real Birth Certificate directly from Hawaii. What he got (AND NOT FROM HAWAII) was the 2007-8 CoLB.
And even after Hawaii said they had not released it to anyone, he didn't retract it.

Leno started taking on-air potshots at the network this month amid reports that the network plans to replace him at "Tonight" with Jimmy Fallon. According to a NBC transcript from Friday's taping, Leno said that he had dinner Thursday with a "bunch of NBC executives" who offered to make things up to him: He and his wife are going on an all-expenses paid Carnival Cruise, he joked.
In February, passengers endured five nightmarish days on a crippled Carnival Cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico.
In another wisecrack, Leno cited news reports of a Canadian man who had a knife pulled from his back after three years. Sniped Leno: "He must have worked at NBC, too."
NBC confirmed this week it's creating a new studio for Fallon in New York, where he hosts "Late Night." But the network did not comment on a report that the digs at its Rockefeller Plaza headquarters may become home to a transplanted, Fallon-hosted "Tonight."
This isn't the first time the "Tonight" stage has been used for a workplace dispute. In 2010, when Conan O'Brien briefly took over as "Tonight" host and Leno was moved to prime-time at NBC, the two traded on-air barbs.
Although late-night hosts are known for needling their network bosses, the timing of Leno's latest jabs seemed to make NBC's executives particularly uncomfortable and they asked him to stop. They don't want a repeat of the publicly messy turnover of just three years ago.
The 62-year-old Leno's current contract expires next year. For NBC, the 38-year-old Fallon represents a bid to launch a next-generation host for "Tonight" - although Leno has kept the show No. 1 in the ratings despite a challenge from Jimmy Kimmel's ABC show, which was moved back an hour to compete with it.
"You know the whole legend of St. Patrick, right? St. Patrick drove all the snakes out of Ireland - and then they came to the United States and became NBC executives," Leno joked on Monday's show.
On Tuesday, he played off a news report about a Serbian woman with a rare brain condition that causes her to see the world upside down: "Isn't that crazy? It's unbelievable. She sees everything upside down. In fact, she thinks NBC is at the top of the ratings."

Is there anyone remaining with an IQ above room temperature who actually believes that the Republican Party believes in limited government, as defined by the U.S. constitution?
If so, they have either been hibernating or have been in complete self-denial.
Every election cycle the Republican Party counts on its “conservative base” to dutifully turn out and mark their ballot for whatever candidate has been selected by the GOP leadership. We are told ad infinitum that doing so will keep the Democrat liberal demons from furthering their agenda.
The inside-the-beltway establishment has been chanting this mantra for years and in the process we keep getting Republicans who stand for nothing except their own political gain. Many of us knew the only hope was to change the status quo. LINK
