I remember 9-11 as if it were yesterday. The shock, the horror, the tears... the vows of ‘we will never forget.’ Evidently, Al Gore couldn’t be bothered with that memory.

Money was way too important – bringing America to her knees was too tempting. He sold Current TV for a cool 500 million to Al Jazeera, because they had ‘aligned views.’ I’m sure they do. And as a benefit, the Goracle pocketed 100 million in blood money.

Now, we have opened our door to America to these terror vampires and invited them in of our own free will. Tell, me you haven’t seen this movie before? Ask yourself this, should an enemy propaganda station be allowed to broadcast into millions of American homes? Al Gore, the FCC and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States say yes to that. Why not? We have the Muslim Brotherhood infiltrated throughout our government and a President who stays true to his Muslim roots. At least now you’ll be able to watch hot and cold running Islamic propaganda. Terrorist videos showing beheadings of our troops and innocent people being run at all hours of the day and night, all the while blaming America. No more waiting to hear a murderous cleric railing against America and Israel, while calling for a worldwide Caliphate. It’s a brave, new Islamic world and Al Jazeera’s wildest dream come true. The New York Times:

“Current will provide the pan-Arab news giant with something it has sought for years: a pathway into American living rooms. Current is available in about 60 million of the 100 million homes in the United States with cable or satellite service.”

Want some examples of Al Jazeera’s bias? Media Research Center has a few:

• In 2006, CNN’s Frank Sesno interviewed Al Jazeera talk show host (and former CNN International journalist) Riz Kahn. Sensno asked Kahn if Hamas is a terrorist organization. “I’m not one to judge,” Kahn demurred. Hezbollah? Sesno asked. “Same thing, you know, I’m not going to judge.”

• In the midst of the “Arab Spring” celebrations in Cairo’s Tahrir Square on Feb. 11, 2011, some 200 men sexually assaulted CBS correspondent Lara Logan. AJE, which was credited by Western liberals for its ubiquitous and even activist coverage of the uprising, completely ignored the crime. Called out by liberal Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart, AJE responded that it “believes, as a general rule,” that journalists “are not the story.” Capehart pointed to an AJE article proving the opposite.

• Also in 2011, in the Israeli settlement of Itamar, someone stabbed to death five members of a Jewish family as they slept. Among the dead were three children, including an infant. The Palestinian Authority condemned the attack, but there was celebration in the Gaza Strip. A search of AJE’s website for the Itama murders turned up no report on the murders themselves, and just two stories about Israeli reaction to the crime.

• In 1979, Lebanese terrorist Samir Kuntar was imprisoned for shooting an Israeli civilian in front of the man’s four-year-old daughter and then bashing in her head with his rifle. In 2008, Al Jazeera threw a televised birthday party for Kuntar, then newly released from prison in a prisoner exchange. Amid the cake and fireworks, an Al Jazeera interviewer told Kuntar, “You deserve even more than this.”

• A stroll through the opinion section of Al Jazeera’s on Jan. 3, 2013, turned up an accusation the U.S. is “Reviving the Cold War,” that Westerners promote “The Myth of the Murderous Muslim,” that American “oligarchs” love guns but hate “America’s already notoriously weak and undersized welfare state,” and, thankfully, that “Theatre of the Oppressed is found everywhere, providing possibiliti....” In other words, it’s chock full of warmed over Marxism, post-colonial twaddle and left-wing group think.

Not only is the sale of the network an insult to America, it is a national security threat and violates numerous laws. Al Jazeera forced networks to sign and comply with an illegal affiliate contract that forcefully compels the bundling of Al Jazeera with other stations. So you get and pay for Al Jazeera whether you want it or not. They have also violated the Foreign Agent Registration Act because they are a property of the Qatar government as designated by our State Department and have not registered as such or identified themselves as a foreign agent when broadcasting.

Cliff Kincaid will be holding a press conference next week and here is a slice of his research on the subject:

First, the “misinterpreted” videos were from Osama bin Laden—and al Qaeda, which is still trying to kill us. There is nothing to misinterpret. Paul L. Williams, author of the new book, Crescent Moon Rising points out that, during Operation Enduring Freedom, the official name for the war in Afghanistan, “All the tapes from al Qaeda were aired on Al Jazeera to inflame the Arab world. They added all that fuel so that our troops would be killed.” Al Jazeera’s correspondent in Afghanistan, who interviewed bin Laden, was sent to prison for being an agent of al Qaeda.

In Iraq, after the American invasion, the same thing occurred. Al Jazeera’s first managing director was exposed as an agent of the Saddam Hussein regime and the channel promoted the anti-American insurgency. The coverage inspired foreign Jihadists to come to Iraq to kill American soldiers, as captured terrorists acknowledged in interviews.

The new film, “Zero Dark Thirty,” mentions that the courier who eventually led the CIA to bin Laden was located in Pakistan near an Al Jazeera office in order to get the terrorist leader’s videotapes to the channel for worldwide distribution. This was no accident. The collaboration between Al Jazeera and al Qaeda continues to the present day. The channel has interviewed almost every major al Qaeda leader, including Anwar Al-Awlaki, who inspired the Ft. Hood massacre through his contacts with Muslim Army soldier Nidal Hasan. Al-Awlaki was also linked to the attempted bombing in the U.S. on Christmas Day by radical Muslim Umar Farouk.

Second, despite what Al Gore implies, the Arabic and English versions of Al Jazeera are paid for by the same dictatorship. Even Hillary Clinton’s State Department admits that, adding that Qatar controls the news policies and personnel of the channel.

And from Right Sight News and James Simpson, you can readily see Al Jazeera’s terrorist goals in collusion with al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood:

As a recognized producer of anti-American, Islamist propaganda, Al Jazeera poses a direct national security threat. Overseas it has fanned the flames of resentment against the West. Within the U.S. it can be expected to collude in the Muslim Brotherhood’s “Civilization Jihad” to gradually subvert American culture and law through deception and “information dominance.”

Despite Obama administration claims to the contrary, the Muslim Brotherhood is not a benign organization. Current al Qaeda leader, Ayman al Zawahiri, is a longtime Brotherhood member.

The Brotherhood’s goals within the U.S. were clearly spelled out in a secret document revealed in the 2004 Holyland Foundation trial (Comments were part of the original documents):

• Phase One: Phase of discreet and secret establishment of leadership.
• Phase Two: Phase of gradual appearance on the public scene and exercising and utilizing various public activities (It greatly succeeded in implementing this stage). It also succeeded in achieving a great deal of its important goals, such as infiltrating various sectors of the Government, gaining religious institutions and embracing senior scholars. Gaining public support and sympathy. Establishing a shadow government (secret) within the Government.
• Phase Three: Escalation phase, prior to conflict and confrontation with the rulers, through utilizing mass media. Currently in progress.
• Phase Four: Open public confrontation with the Government through exercising the political pressure approach. Training on the use of weapons domestically and overseas in anticipation of zero-hour. It has noticeable activities in this regard.
• Phase Five: Seizing power to establish their [sic] Islamic Nation under which all parties and Islamic groups are united.

Another document states:
The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions...

Gore is now claiming that Al Jazeera is ‘highly respected.’ This is the same evil, manipulative elitist Marxist who has been shoving the global warming hoax down our throats for years. Peddling fascism while lining his pockets. His blatant hypocrisy doesn’t even give him pause. He figures that there are enough idiots out there that he can get away with just about anything. Kincaid is calling him on it. He’s one of the very few with the stones to do so. Make no mistake, Al Jazeera is the enemy. They are directly or indirectly connected to every military death over the last ten years at least. It’s like inviting Tokyo Rose or Axis Sally into our homes.

Al Jazeera has the capability to now reach into millions of homes to convert Americans to Islam. To prepare them for holy Jihad and radicalize minions in their conquest of America from the inside out. Imagine suicide bombings across America. Doesn’t that just give you a tingle up your spine? Violence, terrorism and brutality will sweep America just like the Middle East if we allow this to continue. Now the infection isn’t just in our hallowed halls of government and in our educational system. This is akin to mainlining it into the body politic. Both sides of the political aisle are complicit in this coup... either promised money and power or out of partisan blindness. It doesn’t really matter – in the end it is the selling out of America to enemies, outside and from within.

Congress Fails to Act Against Gore's Terror TV Deal

It is fun to watch Big Oil critic Al Gore squirm as he is questioned about selling out to the oil-rich dictatorship in Qatar. But his sale of Current TV to Al Jazeera is not a laughing matter. This transaction is a homeland security threat thatviolates numerous U.S. laws.

To his credit, funnyman David Letterman got close to the truth when he asked the former Democratic vice-president, “Now why do we think of Al Jazeera as something not right going on there in terms of, in terms of the good for Americans? Why do we think that they may be propaganda for Muslim violence and terrorism?”

“Well, it’s certainly not,” Gore replied. “And many years ago it put some videos on in the Arabic version that I think were misinterpreted, but the Al Jazeera English and now Al Jazeera America [are] really high quality stuff. They’re very widely respected, and people see for themselves. And, by the way, their climate coverage is higher quality and more extensive than any network on TV now in the U.S.”

Gore’s answer to Letterman shows that he is not being honest with those concerned about the deal. If Gore will lie to protect his $100 million payoff from the Arab dictatorship in Qatar, a major oil and gas producer, what else will he lie about? Global warming?

Gore was on Letterman promoting his new book, The Future, which was obviously written before his deal with Al Jazeera was finalized. This is why his mentions of Al Jazeera in the book are so important. He refers to Al Jazeera in the book as the “relatively independent” network that played a role in the so-called “Arab spring.”

It is interesting that this “relatively independent” network has now become “very highly-respected,” as he claimed on Letterman.

It’s apparent that Gore is talking about the channel in glowing terms in order to justify his receipt of $100 million from the $500 million deal. Gore doesn’t want to admit the truth because then he would be exposed for selling Current TV to Al Jazeera not only for “dirty” oil money, but also for blood money. The American blood on the hands of Al Jazeera is real.

Every time that you see a wounded member of the American military, or attend a service for those who died defending America, there is the distinct possibility that the death and destruction was carried out by Jihadists egged on by Al Jazeera.

In terms of Al Jazeera’s news coverage, praised by Al Gore on Letterman and the NBC Today Show, my associate and friend Jerry Kenney, an independent television producer, tells me, “He talked about how many awards Al Jazeera has been given. That is no surprise to me. The arsonist is always the first to see the fire. Al Jazeera lights it and then reports it.”

This is a very serious matter. If Al Jazeera reaches English-speaking Arabs and Muslims in the U.S. with its incendiary messages, we could see suicide bombings on the streets of America and the development of more al Qaeda cells plotting 9/11-type terrorist attacks. The purpose of “Al Jazeera America” is to reach English-speaking Muslims who don’t speak Arabic with inflammatory words and images making America out to be the enemy and villain in the Middle East.

Nidal Hasan is an example of what could happen. He did not speak Arabic well but communicated with Anwar Al-Awlaki, the English-speaking al-Qaeda leader who was born in the U.S. but operated out of Yemen, ordering and directing mass murder in America. He used the Internet but also praised Al Jazeera journalists by name in a “Message to the Media.”

Recognizing the danger, President Barack Obama was urged by U.S. intelligence agencies to order the murder of Al-Awlaki through a drone strike. Al-Awlaki was killed, but Al Jazeera, his favorite television channel, is very much alive and now, thanks to Al Gore, establishing a permanent base on U.S. soil, possibly reaching 40-50 million homes.

Despite this looming threat and questions about the legality of the purchase, conservative members of Congress are silent. In the House, supposedly under Republican control, an aide to Rep. Michael McCaul, newly appointed chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, says he does not want the “agenda” of the committee driven by the hundreds of Americans calling his office at 202-226-8417 and requesting an investigation of Al Jazeera’s terrorist ties.

Instead, McCaul recently posed for pictures with various Democrats at the Port of Houston after a bipartisan briefing on security measures at the facility. He issued a statement saying, “It wasn’t too long ago in Abbottabad they found documents from bin Laden indicating he wanted to target oil tankers, and that puts this port at risk.”

This is true and port security is a legitimate area of inquiry. But we also know that those bin Laden documents, according to CNN’s Peter Bergen, included a plan to “craft the perfect media message” on the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks by urging contacts between al Qaeda and Al Jazeera.

The terrorist leader said al Qaeda should contact the correspondents of Al Jazeera Arabic and English “and tell them that we are willing to cooperate with them in the area of covering the tenth anniversary by answering any questions that you think the public is interested in.”

So it was apparent, from the leader of this terrorist group, that both Al Jazeera Arabic and Al Jazeera English were considered outlets for al-Qaeda propaganda messages.

There is no reason to believe the new Al Jazeera America will be any different. And the inevitable result will be more cases of terrorist violence and murder on American soil.

A hearing into this deal would make things difficult for McCaul and other Republicans who want to pursue a bipartisan agenda and do not want to irritate Obama and the Democrats. The co-owners of Current TV, Al Gore and Joel Hyatt, are prominent Democrats, and another investor in the company, Richard Blum, is the husband of Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein. Selling their Current TV to Al Jazeera is somewhat comparable to turning over American broadcast facilities during World War II to Tokyo Rose and Axis Sally, the propagandists for the German and Japanese enemies. They were prosecuted and convicted for treason for broadcasting their propaganda against America from overseas.

Plus, hearings will surely annoy Republican Senator John McCain, who joined Hillary Clinton in praising Al Jazeera in 2011.

But investigating Al Jazeera is the right thing to do and a necessary component of homeland security. After all, members of Congress do swear an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic...”

Feb. 5th DC Press Conference will Demand Investigation

Al Jazeera is owned by the government of Qatar and Hot Air Al took a cool $100 million for the deal, even trying unsuccessfully to evade 2013 tax hikes his fellow Democrats demanded in the “fiscal cliff” deal.

NBC’s Matt Lauer asked in an interview if taking oil money wasn’t a bit hypocritical. Gore respondedthat al Jazeera “has long since established itself as a really distinguished and effective news gathering organization...” Interviewed by Jon Stewart, Gore called the sale “a positive addition to the U.S. media landscape...” In both interviews Gore also claimed that Al Jazeera’s coverage of global warming is more extensive and better than U.S. media.

No one in the media balked at Gore’s claims, but worse, they completely ignored the much more explosive story that Al Jazeera may be operating here in direct violation of federal law. Worse still, the Obama administration is fully aware of this and is doing nothing to stop it. Finally, as a recognized propaganda outlet for al Qaeda and other Muslim terrorist groups, Al Jazeera poses an overt national security threat.

Cliff Kincaid is holding a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, Tuesday, February 5^th to bring these facts to public attention. Sharing the podium with him will be broadcaster Jerry Kenney, who has documented some of Al Jazeera’s alleged criminal activity. Noted Islamist fighter, Pam Geller, will also be in attendance. Pam scored a major victory against Islamic radicals in court by defending her right to post billboards highlighting Islamic terrorism at public transportation stops and other locations throughout the U.S.

Terrorist TV

A 2010 Supreme Court decision (Holder vs. The Humanitarian Law Project) holds that speech normally protected under the First Amendment can be a criminal act if directed by a terrorist organization. Al Jazeera seems to fit the bill. Kincaid and Kenney have documented Al Jazeera’s anti-American propaganda and its many terrorist connections. A few highlights:

• The Emir of Qatar, who owns Aljazeera, recently donated 400 million dollars to Hamas, a State Department designated terrorist group.
• Film footage of captured terrorists in Iraq shows they came to kill Americans because of Al Jazeera.
• NBC News reporter Lisa Myers said: “Why do they go [to fight in Iraq]? Saudis captured in Iraq say it’s because of pictures on Arab television network Al-Jazeera.
• CNN reports that a document found in bin Laden’s compound after his death referred to a meeting with the Al-Jazeera bureau chief in Pakistan.
• The new film, “Zero Dark Thirty,” mentions that the courier who eventually led the CIA to bin Laden was located in Pakistan near an Al Jazeera office in order to get the terrorist leader’s videotapes to the channel for worldwide distribution.
• 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed... was protected by the government of Qatar, which funds Al Jazeera.
• Father of journalist Daniel Pearl, the journalist beheaded by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, says, “Al Jazeera is the main propaganda machine of the Muslim Brotherhood.”
• French media openly report that Qatar is supporting the Mali terrorists
• An Al Jazeera story, “Mali: The ‘gentle’ face of al-Qaeda,” reported that the terrorists “are playing the role of humanitarians” by providing food to local people.
• Al Jazeera supports the radical Muslim and far-left campaign to free “Lady al Qaeda” Aafia Siddiqui, currently serving a life sentence for attempted murder and wife of 9/11 planner Ammar al-Baluchi,.
• In the U.S., the movement to free Siddiqui includes Ramsey Clark, the Workers World Party (WWP) and the Party for Socialism and Liberation.
• Al Jazeera reporter Tayseer Allouni, was convicted as an agent of al Qaeda.

Allowing an Al Jazeera propaganda mill to operate in the U.S. while our troops fight and die in the Global War on Terror is akin to having permitted Japanese radio propagandist “Tokyo Rose” or Nazi Germany’s “Lord Haw Haw” to broadcast from our shores during World War II.

Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA) Violation

The State Department has identified Al Jazeera as a property of the Qatar government, adding that “[Qatar] exercised editorial and programmatic control of the channel through funding and selection of the station’s management.” As such, Al Jazeera must by law register as a foreign agent. It has not done so, nor has it disclosed its status when broadcasting, as required by FARA. Jerry Kenney submitted a complaint to the Holder Justice Department in October 2011 requesting they investigate these allegations. They responded that they would take it “under advisement,” but nothing has yet been done.

Unauthorized Control of a Broadcast TV Station

Al Jazeera is currently broadcast on 28 noncommercial television stations in the U.S. According to Kenney, Al Jazeera cannot legally own a U.S. TV station license, but “may have unlawfully taken control of some public broadcast stations through an illegal affiliate agreement that forced them to carry the Aljazeera programming.” He filed a complaint with the FCC almost two years ago, but they have done nothing. Recall that FCC Commissioner Julius Genachowski is a longtime friend and Harvard classmate of President Obama. Genachowski’s ex-wife, Martha Raddatz, moderated the sole Vice Presidential debate last year. No influence there...

Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS)

According to its website:

CFIUS is an inter-agency committee authorized to review transactions that could result in control of a U.S. business by a foreign person (“covered transactions”), in order to determine the effect of such transactions on the national security of the United States.

Al Jazeera claims their purchase doesn’t require CFIUS review, but past foreign media purchases of much more benign import have come under CFIUS authority. It seems clear that Al Jazeera does fall firmly within CFIUS purview, but once again, the government has chosen inaction.

National Security Risk

Conclusion

Kincaid’s press conference will review the above allegations in depth. Based on the extensive documentation that has already been compiled, Kincaid will issue a call for a congressional investigation. Let’s hope they listen. For fun and profit, Al Gore has granted acceptance and access in U.S. media markets to a radical Islamist propaganda network whose broadcasts have danced on the graves of Americans but who will now operate in the U.S. pretending to be the “moderate” face of Islam.
