(Oh Wait, Kerry Wasn't Even There…)
URGENT: Without so much as a ripple in the pond pre-Christmas, Barack Hussein Obama nominated strategic liar (and U.S. Senator from Massachusetts) John Kerry to replace Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State for the next four years. And really is it any wonder that with so much to cover up (BENGHAZI), Barack Obama appointed a VETERAN who has built a career shamelessly exploiting the faith and loyalty Americans feel for our military – and lying about his service in Vietnam for political gain? No, it isn't.
While most of the Swift Boat veteran debates center around John Kerry's bravery or cowardice during his service in Vietnam, few Americans are fully aware of Kerry's outright, bald-faced lies about serving in Cambodia which he started (in written record, at least) in a 1979 letter to the Boston Herald.
The Washington Post reported in 2004 that Kerry then repeated these total fabrications on at least EIGHT DIFFERENT occasions in Senate debate or political interviews and that Kerry made his Cambodia LIE the centerpiece of a PREPARED 20 minute speech against aiding Nicaraguan contras in 1986! Can you say, 'pathological liar'?
The Washington Post reads:
Kerry argued that contra aid could put the United States on the path to deeper involvement despite denials by the Reagan administration of any such intent. Kerry began by reading out similar denials regarding Vietnam from presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon. Then he offered this devastating riposte:"I remember Christmas of 1968 sitting on a gunboat in Cambodia. I remember what it was like to be shot at by Vietnamese and Khmer Rouge and Cambodians, and have the president of the United States telling the American people that I was not there; the troops were not in Cambodia. I have that memory which is seared – seared – in me."
Kerry's emotional argument, which hinged on his personal experience of having taking part in a secret, illicit war in a neutral country, relied on his personal testimony of having been in Cambodia – BUT IT WAS FALSE TESTIMONY! The facts were TRASHED for the sake of political theater, of launching sheer political propaganda to win a policy fight. How despicable! How contemptible is John Kerry.
In May 2000, U.S. News and World Report stated, "Sen. John Kerry made his first forays into Cambodia during the Vietnam War as a Navy lieutenant on clandestine missions to deliver weapons to anticommunist forces."
A new version of the Kerry Cambodia narrative was then leaked by his presidential campaign team through the book "Tour of Duty," a book written to falsely praise Kerry's military service just in time for the election.
The author of the book told the London Telegraph that Kerry "went into Cambodian waters three or four times in January and February 1969 on clandestine missions" – and devotes almost 100 pages to this specific period – after admitting that Kerry had been 50 miles from the border on Christmas. He fails to mention that Kerry NEVER crossed or "violated" the Cambodian border itself! The whole Kerry Cambodia narrative is a lie!
Kerry's spokesmen said after the fact that the then much younger Senator's memory was 'faulty' though their first recourse was to say that Kerry had patrolled the Mekong Delta somewhere "between" Cambodia and Vietnam when there is no 'between' to patrol.
Just a border.
These EMPTY excuses ring even more hollow, knowing the last entry of Kerry's service journal reads:
"The banks of the [Rach Giang Thanh River] whistled by as we churned out mile after mile at full speed. On my left were occasional open fields that allowed us a clear view into Cambodia. At some points, the border was only fifty yards away and it then would meander out to several hundred or even as much as a thousand yards away, always making one wonder what lay on the other side."
THIS WAS HIS LAST ENTRY. Why was he still wondering "what lay on the other side"?
Of course, lying about Cambodia is not John Kerry's most notorious departure from duty, honor or the truth regarding his 'illustrious' Vietnam War career. Let us remember the great national service rendered to America by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, who during his 2004 presidential bid held John Kerry at least publicly accountable for his serial lies about Vietnam!
The most disgraceful of Kerry's Vietnam lies were not his shocking falsehoods exaggerating and even fabricating combat glory for himself to advance his political ambitions. No, the more devastating lies were his histrionic peddling of false atrocity stories defaming his fellow combat veterans, and his exploitation and dishonoring of our POWs!
The Swift Boaters thankfully reminded the nation that Kerry's hysterical anti-war activism upon his return stateside from 'Nam was a betrayal of trust with his fellow soldiers, and that by his lying and false witness he had caused direct harm to our military still at war. As the leader of Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW), Kerry presented false accounts to Congress of American servicemen having "personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires … to human genitals … razed villages in a fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan … poisoned foodstocks."
Even after adding his own embellishments and insisting that such atrocities were "committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command," Kerry was NEVER held accountable for LYING to Congress and the American people. And he was NEVER held answerable for selling out our POWs – who endured unspeakable torture by the North Vietnamese refusing to admit to communist false claims of U.S. war crimes that the quisling Cambodia Kerry gave the enemy for free!
Along with his Senate testimony, John Kerry spoke explicitly in 1971 of "war crimes," and said in his April 18, 1971 NBC "Meet the Press" interview that he had personally engaged in "atrocities" like "thousands of others" who participated in shootings in free-fire zones.
This disgraceful conduct alone is sufficient for our Senate to BLOCK his nomination by Barack Obama to serve as the Secretary of State of the United States of America. John Kerry is UNFIT to serve!
The State Department will be more critical than ever these next few years with global destabilization, increasing unrest in the Middle East, not to mention our sad economic state and divided nation at home. The integrity of this high office – the first Executive department established – must be preserved and protected, not tarnished with a liar and Obama sycophant!
America, we have too many liars in Washington serving the Obama Executive Branch in high places already. We don't need another.
We already have a Secretary of State with 'faulty memory' when it comes to U.S. missions overseas, exhibiting a myriad of lapses and problems when it comes to telling the truth and taking responsibility – four dead in BENGHAZI comes to mind.
We don't need another one of those either.
Not if we can help it.
Of course, Cambodia Kerry is said by the political establishment to be 'eminently qualified' for the post – except lying to influence our national policy or gain a political advantage isn't a mere 'embellishment' for the sake of a good story, or to advance personal ambition.
It is part of the BIG LIE, and very dangerous to liberty.
And Kerry will lie.
Kerry wasn't in Benghazi. He wasn't Secretary of State watching Americans die in real-time. He won't know what really happened when FOUR AMERICANS were murdered by jihadists during anniversary terrorist attacks on 9/11 this past year.
If he fudges the talking points, no big deal – nobody is still around who remembers them or the details somehow got lost in transition. There will be all kinds of excuses, offered by an experience, adroit and pathological liar – John Kerry. Meanwhile, Barack Obama goes scot-free on Benghazi and on every other foreign policy disaster during the last, and the next four years.
Remember, Kerry is a Washington insider of the highest order. He knows how to navigate the bureaucracy, work the system, play the media – and LIE.
He lied about Cambodia. He gave false testimony before Congress after becoming a leader and spokesman of Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) supported by more lies told by imposters who had stolen the identities of real GIs to demean and devalue the service and sacrifices of our soldiers – and Kerry was never held accountable for ANY of it.
He's just the kind of guy Barack Obama needs to have around to save his own hide.
Criminal wrong doing, conspiracy, cover ups, obstruction of justice… Kerry is a perfect accomplice for Obama, unless we COMPEL CONGRESS to heed us and REJECT THIS NOMINATION!
The American people cannot abide another liar with a conveniently 'faulty' memory to aid and abet Obama in covering up his foreign policy failures. MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD ON CAPITOL HILL TODAY!
