REID IS 'CRAZED' BY POWER - WOULD DESTROY AMERICA FOR HIS SEAT!

Submitted by: Lady Byrd

Senate Majority leader Harry Reid (D-NV), in the wake of Barack Obama’s re-election, is not only seeking to change the rules regarding filibustering, but also said on Wednesday that the Senate will raise the debt ceiling another $2.4 trillion to $18.794 trillion with his new budget proposal!

Senator Reid was asked at a Capitol Hill press conference on Wednesday if he was prepared to support increasing the debt ceiling which we are about to hit by year’s end.
“I think the debt ceiling will come after the first of the year,” Reid said. “But please everyone accept this: They tried it before—they, the Republicans
“They tried it before – ‘We’re going to shut down the government, and we’re not going to raise the debt ceiling,’” Reid said. “If they want to go through that again, fine.”
When asked if he supported a $2.4 trillion increase toe the debt ceiling he said, “If it has to be raised, we’ll raise it.
But Reid is not alone in a desire to raise the debt ceiling. House Speaker John Boehner also plans to raise the debt ceiling. Politico reports,

“House Speaker John Boehner is moving forward with his own plan to increase the debt ceiling in two stages between now and early 2013; Democrats call that a non-starter, saying a long-term extension is needed through the 2012 elections.
Reid appears to be waiting for the precise moment to force a vote, and he’s waiting to see if Boehner’s plan implodes in the House so he can pressure Senate Republicans into making a choice: Support the Reid proposal, or face a potential economic meltdown.”
Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) called Reid’s plan “terrible” and one that “does not solve our problem.” He was also joined by Senator John Cornyn (R-TX).
Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl (R-AZ) said, “Republicans, I don’t believe in the Senate, will support a bill that purports to cut spending if that’s the kind of the spending that it purports to cut.”
The last debt ceiling increase occurred in August of 2011. That’s only 15 months ago and the increase was agreed upon by Congress and Obama to increase it by $2.4 trillion.
Now all we have heard during this election cycle from Republicans is about the national debt. We have heard some talk of bringing down the debt from Obama, but to be quite clear, neither side has taken any necessary steps to move in that direction. So what’s it gonna be GOP? Are you going to stand on principles or compromise and put more debt on our backs to keep your seat in Congress? I’ll guarantee you that if you come to some agreement to raise this debt ceiling I’ll be calling your name here on FreedomOutpost and encouraging your constituents to remember you when you’re up for re-election.
