1. If The Election Were Held Today Barack Obama Would Win
Contra Dick Morris, Mitt Romney is not winning this election. At least Mitt Romney is not winning the election right now. Conservatives are obsessing over every poll, the turn out models used, and the media bias that is on ful display. Yes, some of the polling models seem screwy, though we all forget the pollsters apply a secret sauce known only to them on top. Yes, reporters are fully beclowning themselves to get their god-king re-elected. But while we may be focused there, the fact is the Romney campaign isn't functioning well. Lucky for you and me the election is not today. But something needs to happen in Boston and I am less and less hopeful anything will happen.
It would easy to dismiss me by saying I never cared for Romney or I'm somehow actually rooting against him. So let me put it to you this way: Jenn Rubin and I are on the same page. That’s either a sign of the apocalypse or there is something really dysfunctional . . . please click here for the rest of the post →

2. The Film Maker Is Arrested
Glenn Reynolds has all the details on the arrest of the film maker who made the movie that Barack Obama says caused riots throughout the Middle East.
I’m going to be charitable here and presume that the man was arrested on other issues that would not have come to light had such much light been pointed in his direction this past week. Note in the picture it is local authors, not federal authors putting him in a police car. That suggests to me there is more going on here.
But, presuming that, if we really are dealing with people who really are rioting because of a badly produced movie that’s been on the internet for a while and they weren’t offended until subtitles were added a week or so ago, are we not now conveying . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
3. Barack Obama: The Anti-Midas
This is now the second time in modern US history that our credit rating has been dropped and they have both happened under the maladministration of Barack Obama. I suppose next week we’ll find this is all part of a clever scheme that . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
4. ‘We have more oil and natural gas than anyone thought possible even 5 years ago.’
The domestic oil and gas supply picture is better than it’s been in a generation, and it’s getting better every day. That’s not just my opinion; it’s also the conclusion of Adam Sieminski, chief administrator of the Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration (EIA), the government’s one-stop shop . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
5. Blaming Romney, not terrorists, Obama fuels Middle East bloodshed
Like many Americans I spend time on September 11 contemplating the terror attacks. This year my contemplation didn’t end on the 11th. I have spent the entire week watching as riotous Muslim mobs, first in Egypt, then Libya, Tunisia, Yemen and Sudan attack U.S. embassies espousing hate for American values and belief.
It got much worse. The hateful Muslim mobs multiplied throughout the Muslim world, even in countries not considered Muslim, such as Britain and Australia. And al Qaeda went on the offensive.
Under the cover of the rioting Muslim mobs in Benghazi, terrorist viciously attacked the U.S. consulate killing four Americans including . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
6. John Kerry Is An Ignoramus. But You Knew That.
To me one of the most amazing traits of the Democrat party is its insistence on promoting to positions of power and authority utter nincompoops and then expecting everyone to ignore the fact that they are nincompoops. Cases in point: Alan Grayson (D-FL) and Anthony Weiner (D-NY). One needn’t have listened . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
