KEEP THE HEAT ON HOLDER - HE IS NOT FOR AMERICA

Dear Conservatives,

Despite the drug cartel murders of at least two American border agents with smuggled “Fast & Furious” guns, Attorney General Eric Holder is still withholding information . . .

. . . and he’s hoping you and everyone in Washington will forget all about it.

With attention focused on New York City and the UN “Small Arms Treaty” meetings during the month of July, much of the institutional gun lobby pushed Eric Holder and “Fast & Furious” off of their radar.

But the National Association for Gun Rights has not and we will not let the investigation of Eric Holder go.

For two long years, the 1.4 million members and supporters of the National Association for Gun Rights have led the fight to hold high-level officials in the Obama administration accountable for “Fast & Furious.”

And during the month of July, while simultaneously leading the fight against the biggest threat to our gun rights in recent memory -- the UN “Small Arms Treaty” -- NAGR continued to mobilize gun rights activists through the mail and email to hold Eric Holder accountable.

As gun owners have suspected all along, leaked information continues to confirm the involvement of Eric Holder in “Fast & Furious.”

Because of the intense pressure brought by NAGR activists throughout the month of July, just after the UN Gun Ban meetings concluded, news broke that five of Eric Holder’s top deputies at the ATF and Justice Department were fully aware of Operation “Fast & Furious” and may have in fact been guiding the program.

The report confirmed that American ICE agent Jaime Zapata was killed with a weapon smuggled through the Operation “Fast & Furious” program.

But that’s not all the report uncovered.

Information was revealed that Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer, who is one of Eric Holder’s right-hand men at the Justice Department, told Holder about the “Fast & Furious”-related programs in an August 19, 2009 memo.

Of course, as I have previously written, Holder has on a number of occasions said under oath that he has no knowledge of “Fast & Furious” until well into 2010.

With all the focus on this specific operation and Eric Holder, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that since day one, the Obama administration has been looking for a way to restrict our Second Amendment rights.

“Fast & Furious” was concocted to be a public relations ploy intended to convince the American people that Congress had to pass new gun restrictions and the UN “Small Arms Treaty” through the U.S. Senate.

This issue is not concluded and may drag out much longer.

It's absolutely certain that NAGR’s 1.4 million-member army has forced Congress to dig what information we know about “Fast & Furious” today.

Continued action from NAGR members and supporters will be vital to ultimately holding Eric Holder and members of Obama’s administration accountable for their deadly crimes.

Thanks again for your sustained activism.

This battle is not over -- your grassroots pressure is needed now more than ever.

For Freedom,

Dudley Brown
Executive Vice President
P.S. Much of the institutional gun lobby has pushed the "Fast & Furious" scandal off of their radar.

NAGR has not, and has continued to mobilize members and supporters through the mail and email to pressure Congress to hold Eric Holder accountable.
