WE MUST WIN THIS WAR AGAINST ISLAMIC RADICALS

Legal jihad”: Radical Islam exploiting our legal system Dear Conservatives,

It’s called “legal jihad” and “lawfare”—and it’s one of the tactics in the tool chest of radical Islam.

“Legal jihad” uses lawsuits or threats of lawsuits to intimidate critics of radical Islam.

Another intimidation tactic being increasingly employed by groups like CAIR is warnings and even threats lodged against hotels and other venues that host events that expose the threat of radical Islam. The objective is to get the events canceled or shut down.
The good news is there are organizations like the Thomas More Law Center that are successfully fighting back against these tactics.

That’s why we’re excited to announce that we’ve added another outstanding feature to our National Conference and Legislative Briefing—a briefing by Richard Thompson, the President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center.

Mr. Thompson will explain the types of tactics used by groups like CAIR and the best ways to prevent—and if necessary—fight back against these tactics.

We are sure this will be invaluable information to every conference attendee!!!

Here are just two victories won by the Thomas More Law Center (TMLC):

  • Earlier this year, a Detroit judge ordered the city of Dearborn to pay over $100,000 in legal fees to the TMLC. TMLC defended a Christian pastor who had been arrested at an Arab festival in Dearborn.
  • In 2009 and 2010, TMLC successfully defended Joe Kaufman, an investigative reporter, against an intimidation lawsuit filed in Texas by several Muslim groups.
As we reported in an email last week, TMLC recently filed a suit against CAIR-Michigan and others after an event promoting ALAC (American Laws for American Courts) was shut down. One of the plaintiffs in the suit is ACT! for America chapter leader Beth Griffin.
