TWO MILITARY VETERANS WIN PRIMARIES IN OHIO
Great news everyone!
We are proud to announce that two of MAFPAC’s favored pro-troop candidates have won their primary bids in the Ohio elections last Tuesday. We have to get behind Josh Mandel for the Senate and “Joe the Plumber Wurzelbacher” for the Cleveland/Toledo Congressional District.
Please help our Special Ohio Campaign Fund we have to elect these outstanding, conservative, pro-troop candidates:
Josh Mandel is a young US Marine Corps Reservist who served in Iraq. He’s only 34 years old, but he’s already proven himself with a successful career – first as a City Councilman, then Ohio State Representative, and finally the office he currently holds, State Treasurer.
But before Josh went into politics, he was a Marine!
His service includes 2 tours in Iraq where Josh served as an intelligence officer in Anbar province, one of the most dangerous areas of the war zone. During his second tour of duty in 2007, Josh served in Haditha. As an intelligence officer, Mandel went out on foot patrols with the infantry, collected and processed tons of data, and used it to identify terrorists trying to operate secretly in Iraqi neighborhoods.
His opponent has been tabbed as the most liberal member of the Senate and has voted consistently wrong on issue after issue. Far left liberal Senator Sherrod Brown voted against the authorization for the use of force in Iraq. He has remained a consistent opponent to the war and has called for our troops to redeploy from Iraq since the beginning of the war.
Senator Brown also opposed the surge strategy and voted in favor of timetables for withdrawal. He blamed the war in Iraq for taking away focus from the war in Afghanistan, but then changed his mind about Afghanistan once the war started winding down in Iraq.
With his distinguished military career and extensive experience in the state legislature and as State Treasurer, Josh is an ideal Republican candidate for the US Senate from Ohio. The polls are closing, but Mandel is slightly behind. We have to help him close that gap and overtake Brown to win this important Senate seat. Help Josh Mandel become the next Senator from Ohio:
Most people know Samuel “Joe the Plumber” Wurzelbacher as a hero to conservatives around the country after he was the first ‘working-man’ to personally and publicly challenge Obama and his “spread the wealth around” class warfare messaging.
Since that day when Joe stood up for working Americans, he’s been a hero to the Tea Party movement and spoken at many Tea Party Express rallies. Now he’s running for congress, and we need to stand up for Joe like he stood up to for us. Joe ran a strong primary campaign and has now won the nomination of the Republican party.
What you may not know about Joe the Plumber, is that he’s also an Air Force veteran. He served in the USAF from 1992-1996 and he’s still a stalwart supporter of our troops and their missions in the war on terror. Please support “Joe the Plumber” Wurzelbacher with a generous contribution now:
The Democrat primary made news last week because two very liberal Democrat incumbents were forced to run against each. Well known anti-war activist, Dennis Kucinich, was one candidate, and his ideological twin, Mary Kaptur, was the other one. Kaptur won, and is very out-of-touch with this working class district along Lake Erie.
The Obama economic policies have been particularly hard on this normally Democratic area, but Joe Wurzelbacher brings a unique appeal because of his national popularity. Joe has a good chance of luring away blue-collar Democrats with a pro-jobs, pro-growth campaign message. As a military veteran, he will have added appeal to this district.
It will be a tough campaign, but with your help we can help Joe win!
