CATHOLIC BISHOPS WAKE UP TO
MURDEROUS OBAMACARE AGENDA

TELL CONGRESS – YOU SUPPORT RIGHTS OF CONSCIENCE – Because NO government official should be able to force you to choose between upholding your faith or breaking the law.

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has finally awakened to the dangers of ObamaCare, and is demanding a Conscience Protection clause to defend pro-lifers from a government seemingly intent upon coercing people of conscience to all manner of evil.

Under ObamaCare, Americans of faith are being compelled to financially support and even distribute not only contraception but also instant abortion drugs like "Ella," "RU-486" and the "Morning After Pill." Refusal to comply would force pro-lifers to choose between upholding their faith or breaking the law.

During the healthcare "reform" debate, I warned the Church and all Americans of conscience that supporting ObamaCare was in fact support for contraception and abortion – serious violations of Catholic teaching and pro-life principle. High representatives of the Church not only refused to listen, they persisted in showering their awards and honors upon the most pro-abortion President in history. I was arrested at Notre Dame for standing in protest against the dangerous path of collaboration and compromise with evil those in authority had set upon.

FINALLY, the Church is paying attention and moved to action. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, (USCCB) is throwing its full support behind H.R. 1179, the Respect for Rights of Conscience Act, which would prevent any new mandates under healthcare reform from being used to disregard Americans' freedom of conscience.

The laity and the religious are doing wonderful work in fighting for the lives of the unborn, and finally the Conference of Catholic Bishops has bestirred itself to act. We can only hope the USCCB's conscience did not awaken too late.

I know that YOU believe life is precious and that you also believe that religious conscience – our freedom to practice our faith in daily life – is both our sacred duty AND our unalienable, God-given right. That is why it is imperative that we ensure Congress hear our voices raised DEFENDING the innocent unborn, and UPHOLDING our rights of faithful conscience. Our freedom and our unborn children's LIVES depend upon it.
