DEMAND THAT SB436 BE STOPPED FROM PASSAGE - HANDS OFF OUR GUNS!!!

STOP SENATE BAN ON ALL PRIVATE GUN SALES
URGENT: THANK YOU! YOU just stopped Harry Reid and the Senate from confirming Obama's most ANTI-GUN, SECOND AMENDMENT-HATING judicial nominee since Elena Kagan! Caitlin Halligan was defeated and kept off the D.C. Circuit by grassroots citizen outcry.
But the battle in Washington to defend our right to arms rages on! The Senate AND House have new legislation in play – S.B. 436 – that is designed to END ALL PRIVATE GUN SALES! You need to keep making your voice heard in Congress!
arta_2ndamendflaggunsIn the latest attempt to gut the Second Amendment and separate Americans from their guns, the Senate Judiciary Committee has begun hearings and Capitol Hill horse trading on Rep. Chuck Schumer's S.B. 436 – the Senate version of the so-called "Fix Gun Checks Act of 2011."
The legislation states that its purpose is "To ensure that all individuals who should be prohibited from buying a firearm are listed in the national instant criminal background check system and require a background check for every firearm sale."
H.R. 1781, the House version of this unconstitutional legislation, is sponsored by notorious adversary of the Second Amendment, Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY4) and 79 co-sponsors in the House of Representatives.

Liberal New York Senator Schumer and his Second Amendment-hating cohorts are billing the legislation as a means to fix the much ballyhooed and completely fallacious "gun show loophole" of federal gun control we have been hearing about for years. But what this bill actually aims at, and does, is end ALL private gun sales and transfers – not just at gun shows but everywhere in America.
Rest assured, this phony "fix-it" bill will be in the mix of the Obama Administration's maneuverings to get draconian gun control passed this year before the 2012 election results – and before Americans discover that the real agenda behind the "Fast & Furious" gunwalking operation wasn't a drug sting on Mexican cartels, but gun control on American citizens.
The specifics of S.B. 436 are part and parcel with the Obama Administration's ideology of totalitarian, government control of our arms. First, the bill requires all gun buyers to get a "permit." Next, the buyer must undergo a federal background check and seek the FBI'spermission to purchase the gun. This also applies to ANY firearm transfer, so in essence a gun can no longer be gifted or inherited without government approval. In fact, according to section 202 (g) 6, one will not even be allowed to use a friend's gun for hunting unless one first applies for a permit.
Just as outrageous is Section 124 of the bill, which requires any institution of higher learning to perform "mental health assessments" and develop treatment plans for ALL students, the results of which would be submitted to a federal database.
With this bill, Chuck Schumer and his anti-gun cronies have managed to decimate the Second and the Fourth Amendments in one fell swoop. Such outlandish gun control measures are designed to achieve an accumulative effect, eliminating citizen access to that very recourse to arms guaranteed us at our nation's founding, in protection of our freedom – SENATE BILL 436 MUST BE STOPPED.
Leftwing Senators Daniel K. Akaka, (HI), Kirsten E. Gillibrand, (NY), John F. Kerry, (MA) and Robert Menendez, (NJ) have joined with Chuck Schumer (NY) as Senate co-sponsors in this wholesale assault on our gun rights. The Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing unfortunately garnered new interest and support from Leftist "progressives" for this outrageous – and dangerous – legislative encroachment upon our liberty, which must NOT go unanswered!
Americans like you understand that EVERY ASSAULT ON THE BILL OF RIGHTS IS A THREAT TO FREEDOM. And so it's folks like you who I'm counting on to ACT NOW, Send a PETITION to Congress and the Senate to STOP S.B. 436, and DEFEND the Second Amendment.
And please help us reach MORE Americans with whatever support you can send; whether it's $1000, $500, $100, $50, $20 or some other amount, every dollar is vitally needed to reestablish the principles of our Founders in today's corrupt and dangerous federal government.

Keep Faith,
