TEXAS - CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT 10 CANDIDATE EDDIE TRAYLOR - CONSERVATIVE

I WANT TO BE YOUR EMPLOYEE!
                  I am Eddie Traylor
·       USAF pilot and instructor  for 20 years, retired in 1991 with an Honorable Discharge, as a Lt. Col. serving at the Pentagon, where I determined what classified access and weapons systems our allies could obtain from us.
·       Top Secret clearance holder
·       Retired from Northwest Airlines in 2007
·       BS in Political Science, Ball State University-1969
·       Masters in Management and Supervision from Central MI University in 1984.
·       Held political office as a town board member
·       Attended numerous Air Force schools, including the Presidio of Monterey CA in 1985 and serving at US Embassy in Ecuador as the USAF Representative.
·       Fluent in Spanish and translated while at the Pentagon.
·       My wife, Darlene, and I have been married for 42 years. Our daughter and son are grown and live in the Austin area.  We belong to Unity Church of the Hills in Austin.
·       I am an active NRA member and we own a small Piper Tripacer.
 
My positions on many issues are based on kitchen table economics and common sense.  As you consider signing the petition to add me to the ballot, here is what I pledge to you:
 
·       I will vote to enforce current immigration laws, NO more sanctuary cities
·       I will cut staff from 18 to 12
·       I will vote NO on any current spending bills
·       I will vote to reduce foreign aid
·       I will not cut spending on Defense
·       I will introduce a zero base budgeting bill/amendment  during first term
·       I will voluntarily term limit myself to no more than two terms
·       I will work to change the Congressional Retirement System, similiar to a 401k, capped at 6 years for reps and 12 years for senators
·       I will post on district website the activities of staff and self and with whom we meet
·       Petition POTUS to arm US military officers on US military installations
·       I pledge to NEVER serve as a paid lobbyist to the federal government
·       I will CUT spending any where I can since America is going BANKRUPT!
 
I need your vote to end the career politicians in Washington, D.C. I am a citizen just like you, tired of the same old politics as usual. Washington is broken! America is at a crossroads! I want to steer America in the right direction and it will start with me.

    If elected, will you:

    1) Introduce/support legislation to invoke term limits on ALL federal elected officials?

    2) Support eliminating the not so Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare)?

    3) Limit the benefit package of all federal elected and appointed officials to an average of the benefits offered in Fortune 500 companies?

    If you can answer yes to these three questions you will likely have my support. If not, the corruption that is prevalent in Washington will likely consume you as it has EVERY elected official who has ever served there, regardless of party affiliation or no party affiliation.

    Thanks for comments.
    1,Will support term limits-I am term-limited.I can not promise that any committee chairman would allow such legislation.
    2. I absolutely support eliminating Obamacare.
    3.That is a reasonable idea to me and could support it. It seems probable that Fortune 500 executives have better benefit packages than do federal elected and appointed officials although at this moment I have no figures on this,

    To the citizens of District 10:
    What has our congressman, Michael McCaul done now? Back on June 29th of 2011, he caved in to the threats from the White House, who said our military would not get paid if the debt ceiling was not raised. So, Mr. McCaul, duty bound to his party leaders, voted YES on S 627 to RAISE THE DEBT CEILING and BORROW MORE MONEY. Because of that, our National Debt is now approaching 16 trillion dollars. You, your children and grandchildren are going to have to pay for that through increased taxes, which will seriously alter their abilities to survive financially.
    Mr. McCaul, on December 16th, 2011, voted YES on HR 2055, the National Defense Authorization Act, which passed 283-136. This bill has a provision in it that allows the military to arrest citizens, on the directive of the President, without cause. While the details of this provision are still "open to interpretation", it is our belief that no congressman should vote YES for a bill when there is a provision that strips away a constitutionally mandated right for all citizens. Incrementalism is how we will lose what rights we still have left.
    Now Mr. McCaul just yesterday, voted to speed up the collapse of our social security program, just when the first of the "baby boomers" starts to engage in the program. This program is designed to be a safety net, to help our seniors, and now it will go bankrupt even faster.
    There is a clear pattern here folks. The ship is going in the wrong direction. What are you willing to do about it?
    May I suggest three things?

You can safely and securely donate $10 or more so that Eddie can continue to take the fight to our four term career politician. We will be making some high dollar purchases soon and we need your help to get our message out. Help us help you put common sense back into the decision making process inside Congress.
    Secondly, please send this email to your contact list. We must inform our fellow constituents and let them know what is going on. Apathy will kill our nation. We can't afford to sit still and watch this hole, that Congress has been digging for our kids and grandkids, to continue to get deeper.


    Lastly, please send Mr. McCaul an email and let him know how you feel about his recent votes.

    Our campaign is ramping up. We look forward to showing you more examples of why our District needs a new congressman. A congressman who will LEAD the fight to put America back on the right course. A congressman who will ensure that Congress's budget is formulated like your budget. A budget done at the kitchen table, using common sense solutions to the problems we all face. A congressman with the legislative fortitude to do what is necessary, in order to preserve our Republic, which must remain that shining city on the hill!
