CALIFORNIA EDUCATED ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT CHARGED WITH RAPE

Police arrested Ernesto Mercado, 18, last week for allegedly raping a 19-year-old woman in Middlesex Township, Pennsylvania. The victim immediately reported the crime to police, but Mercado had fled by the time police arrived. He was later apprehended when police showed up at his job during his next scheduled shift two days after the assault.

This is not his first offense. Previously, Mercado has been charged with multiple crimes including sexual assault. At the time of his arrest, Mercado had a California-issued school identification card in his possession.
