reported to have slammed fiscal conservatives by saying we
"acted like terrorists" in the debt ceiling negotiations.
I am incensed that you and I, as committed fiscal
conservatives, would be categorized with people who use
violence, murder, and other detestable tactics to achieve
their ungodly, ruthless ends.

Dear Friend,
Unknown to many people outside of Washington, D.C., it has
been commonplace recently for leftists in the House of
Representatives to refer to the Tea Party and other fiscal
conservatives as "hostage takers."
Now, according to our Vice President, we are "terrorists"
for demanding that our elected lawmakers do their jobs
and enact sound fiscal policies!
This demeaning new label is not mere rhetoric; this is part
of a carefully orchestrated smear campaign levied against
those who dare to challenge the administration's right to
unlimited funding for their leftist agenda.
I believe that Joe Biden's "terrorist" label for you and
me will now be echoed throughout the offices of leftist
officials and repeatedly trumpeted by the liberal media.
Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann said, "Only in the
bizarro world of Washington is fiscal responsibility
sometimes defined as terrorism." Sarah Palin called
Biden's remark, "vile."
++ Mr. Vice President, you have once again crossed the line
of common decency.
By calling us "terrorists," is Mr. Biden alleging that we
have intentionally inflicted massive harm on Americans or
the American economic system for STANDING AGAINST reckless,
out-of-control government spending, and an ever-growing debt?
Are we "terrorists" for CALLING OUT the President and
sympathetic lawmakers for their role in creating this debt
crisis through unsound spending policies, TARPs, bailouts,
failed stimulus packages, and ObamaCare - while endangering
existing, proven programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and
Social Security?
And are we "terrorists" for holding these same lawmakers
ACCOUNTABLE for wreaking havoc on the American political
system by creating an arbitrary "default" deadline, using
fear-mongering to advance their spendthrift agenda, and
once again sidestepping the will of the American people by
crafting backroom deals to pass a piece of legislation?
The fact is, the so-called "Revised Budget Control Act of
2011" was passed without time for peer review and includes
more loopholes and "triggers" than we've seen in any piece
of legislation since ObamaCare!
On the day of the much-touted "deadline," we are
realizing that the Obama Administration, in concert
with Harry Reid, has manipulated the legislative
system to avoid having to deal with the critical
spending and debt issue again before the 2012 election.

The man who has personally contributed more to the
overwhelming financial crisis gripping our nation than
any other president or elected official has refused to
support a balanced budget amendment - even shamelessly
using the Constitution to try to defend his indefensible
position by saying...
"We don't need a constitutional amendment to do our
jobs. The Constitution already tells us to do our
jobs - and to make sure that the government is living
within its means and making responsible choices."
This from a president whose actions have continually
subverted and manipulated the Constitution to advance
his overtly socialist political agenda!
That's why Liberty Counsel is sending 23 specific grievances
to the President, Vice President, Congress and many other
elected and unelected officials. These 23 grievances are at

I have felt for a long time that President Barack Obama has
abandoned his role as President of the United States and has
transformed his office into strange new position of "President
of the Divided States."
He has been the most divisive president in American history!
In recent days, he successfully pitted "wealthy" Americans
against all other taxpayers and encouraged "class warfare"
to fuel his manufactured debt ceiling crisis.
In fact, in the two and a half years of his presidency,
he has repeatedly attacked the fundamental values that
are shared by most Americans!

against King Obama and the left-wing, elitist political
class that supports him and are bent on destroying
our nation:
Barack Obama and his administration have...
Fraudulently installed a national healthcare system
against the will of the people, on its face an example
of illegal wealth distribution, while repeatedly
violating the Constitution in doing so...
Squandered the nation's resources, creating insurmountable
public debt...
Enacted an administrative measure forcing American tax
payers to pay for abortions in foreign nations...
Promoted same-sex "marriage" against the will of the
majority of Americans, advanced same-sex adoption,
and directed an arbitrary policy shift to normalize
same-sex relations in the United States armed forces...
And appointed any number of extra-constitutional,
unelected and unaccountable executive "czars."
These are just a few of the egregious violations listed in
Liberty Counsel's "Declaration of Independence 2011." These
grievances are so severe that we felt duty-bound as a public
interest law firm to re-cast what is widely considered to be
the most important single document in American history - the
Declaration of Independence - in today's setting, reflecting
the political and governmental situation we face today.
