IMMIGRATION LAW WORKING IN ALABAMA

TOUGH AL LAW PROMPTING SOME ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO MOVE OUT OF THE STATE

Just days after Alabama passed what is considered to be the nation’s toughest anti-illegal immigration law, illegal immigrants have already begun to leave the state.

Legal and illegal immigrants alike have flocked to the Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama requesting help and the group itself has seen a surge in donations following the passage of the law.

Farmers and construction businesses alike are fearing a shortage of labor once the law goes into effect this fall, but state lawmakers claim that this will only open up opportunities for American citizens and legal residents.
