DEMOCRATS WILL NOT ENDORSE AS THEY WANT MORE SPENDING!

SUPPORT THE REPUBLICAN STUDY COMMITTEE
SAY NO TO DEBT CEILING TRILLIONS
& OBAMACARE BILLIONS!
ENDORSE RSC LETTER DEMANDING SPENDING CUTS
UPDATE: Democrats and the Republican Establishment BETRAY and IMPERIL America with their relentless campaign to irresponsibly raise the national debt ceiling! They rejected the Conservative Congress' promised $100 billion spending cuts, including the $61 billion in budget reductions passed by the House. Passing instead the Socialism-compliant and absurdly bloated counteroffer of the faux 2011 Budget "Deal" designed to fool the voters by preventing the scary sham Federal government shutdown was a BETRAYAL of America in crisis. The $105.5 billion in ObamaCare start-up funds STILL continue flowing as our nation faces Constitutional disarray and bankruptcy! I say, SUPPORT and STRENGTHEN theRepublican Study Committee, and shout "NO DEAL" - NO DEBT CEILING RAISE; JUST CUT THE SPENDING!

The current "bi-partisan" campaign by both Republican Leadership and the Democrats to raise the debt ceiling is a sham and a sellout! TRUE patriots and Constitutional Conservatives led by Rep. Jim Jordan in the Republican Study Committee (RSC) are voting NO and rallying more patriots to their cause of fiscal sanity. We need to help them recruit growing numbers of House Republicans to sign on to a newly published RSC open letter and FORCE Boehner, McConnell and the GOP to keep their promise - properly voting "NO" on any budget bill that does not MASSIVELY CUT SPENDING and DEFUND ObamaCare ENTIRELY.
As their open letter rightly notes, "given the condition of the country's finances, it is imperative to the future of the country that we fight for an immediate shift toward fiscal responsibility." And they are ABSOLUTELY correct and we should STAND and SHOUT with them when they say "that if we do not reverse the out-of-control spending that has led us here, it would be grossly irresponsible for us to extend the limit on the national credit card."
I am Mary Lewis of Life and Liberty PAC, and I am asking for YOUR help to ensure Congress HEARS AND OBEYS the expressed Will of the People!
More fiscal bills like this debt ceiling fight -- such as the 2012 budget battle -- are on the way. But this vote is the biggest leverage we have to break Congress' culture of feckless spending, waste and irresponsibility. Time is short to Save America! We MUST force those in Congress to do their duty or lose their jobs!
The Republican Study Committee is on the right track, and Americans United for Freedom supports them as we continue pressing Congress to do its duty by HOLDING the debt ceiling, STOPPING ENTIRELY the UNCONSTITUTIONAL and BUDGET-BUSTING implementation of ObamaCare and REVOKING the $105.5 billion in "start-up" funds allocated by Nancy Pelosi's treacherous 111th Congress. The RSC is boldly calling for the GOP "Leadership" and entire Republican conference to keep faith with We the People who elected them, and CUT the government's ruinous spending!
The members of the RSC are standing true to their oath of office and Constitutional Conservative principles, and demanding Congress do its sworn duty - CUT SPENDING and DEFUND OBAMACARE. Disappointingly, but not surprisingly, this has been an uphill battle, filled with resistance from old guard, "go along to get along" career politicians, who seem more afraid of Harry Reid's name calling, than respectful of the Will and Constitutional Sovereignty of the People.
The fact is, Washington spending continues unabated, and ObamaCare has already been given $105,464,000,000.00 to begin its UNCONSTITUTIONAL implementation. Unless that money is cut off now, irrevocably and unequivocally, ObamaCare will be here to stay. Our children and grandchildren will groan under the destructive burden of fiscally unsustainable and morally bankrupt socialism.
The RSC is to be commended for taking up the cause and bringing these issues more commandingly to the public eye. Now it is up to US to fully engage the fight and flood Congress with demands to HOLD THE DEBT CEILING and STOP ALL OBAMACARE FUNDS - TODAY!
Below is a copy of the Republican Study Committee letter to the House "Leadership" and serves as an open letter to the American electorate. I strongly encourage you to join me in ENDORSING THIS CLEAR MESSAGE AS A POINTED GOP DIRECTIVE, and faxing a copy to Congress with your signature alongside that of the RSC. Speaker Boehner and the GOP "Leadership" have failed in the first instance, but the RSC is leading, they need our endorsement - and this fight is not over. Support the RSC NOW in the battles ahead!
Congress must be told in no uncertain terms that we will not tolerate more reckless spending, back door funding of socialism, or implementation of the devious, destructive and grossly unconstitutional ObamaCare scheme. BETTER THAT TRUE CONSERVATIVES HOLD FAST TO PRINCIPLE AND VOTE 'NO' ON ANY AND ALL BUDGET BILLS UNTIL GOP "LEADERS" HEED WE THE PEOPLES' CALL TO REAL FISCAL AND MORAL RESPONSIBILITY - EVEN IF THERE ARE MORE FALSE CRIES OF 'CREDIT DEFAULT' OR 'FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN.' CUT THE SPENDING; DEFUND OBAMACARE FULLY, AS PROMISED! THIS IS THE MANDATE CONGRESS WAS GIVEN IN NOVEMBER 2010, AND THEY ARE OATH AND DUTY BOUND!
Dear Speaker Boehner and Leader Cantor,
The fast-approaching debt ceiling vote gives us an opportunity to make a bold statement to the American people about what direction we want our country to go. Further, given the condition of the country's finances, it is imperative to the future of the country that we fight for an immediate shift toward fiscal responsibility. Consider these staggering facts:
  • The debt held by the public has more than doubled in the past 5 years.

  • The interest paid on the debt is currently projected to more than triple over the next 10 years and may alone consume all of our tax revenues by the middle of this century.

  • Several weeks ago, PIMCO, a management company handling $1.2 trillion in assets, dumped all of its U.S. government debt holdings; its cofounder William Gross saying that regardless of borrowing authority, unless spending is curtailed, the government will in essence default on its debt by "picking the pocket of savers."

  • In April, for the first time since 1941, Standard & Poor's (S&P) revised its outlook on the United States credit rating from stable to negative, citing the fear that Congress will fail to address the nation's medium- and long-term budgetary challenges.

  • As China considers ceasing its purchase of U.S. debt securities, the International Monetary Fund has forecasted that the size of China's economy will surpass that of the United States in 2016, effectively ending the "Age of America."
Put in the context of the above facts, we believe the willingness of our conference to pursue bold solutions to Washington's spending problems can breathe new life into the "Age of America".
We must state unequivocally that we will not vote for a "clean" debt ceiling increase. We share your belief, as articulated in your speech in New York on May 9th, Mr. Speaker, that if we do not reverse the out-of-control spending that has led us here, it would be grossly irresponsible for us to extend the limit on the national credit card.
We look forward to working together with you and our entire Republican team on developing bold solutions for reducing spending and reforming the way Washington budgets and spends taxpayer dollars. Following are some solutions that we know will achieve this goal.
  1. Americans deserve immediate spending cuts that demonstrate that we are charting a swift path toward a balanced budget. We must implement discretionary and mandatory spending reductions that would cut the deficit in half next year.

  2. To ensure that spending cuts continue, we need statutory, enforceable total-spending caps to reduce federal spending to 18% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), with automatic spending reductions if the caps are breached. Reps. Mack, Kingston, Flake, and Graves, for example, are developing spending-cap legislation to this effect.

  3. To fundamentally and permanently reform the way that Washington budgets and spends, we must send to the states a Balanced Budget Amendment (BBA) with strong protections against federal tax increases and including a Spending Limitation Amendment (SLA) like the statutory spending caps described above. Rep. Joe Walsh has introduced a BBA with a spending limit provision (H.J.Res. 56) that has already earned the support of 47 Republican senators.
We believe it is prudent to limit the extension of borrowing authority as much as possible, in order to demand accountability from Senate Democrats and the Obama Administration.
With each passing day our nation's fiscal health gets worse, leaving our children and grandchildren falling farther into debt. The Democrats have given up, saying that the only answer to excessive borrowing is more borrowing. Therefore, it is imperative that we move quickly and unite behind a plan to restore fiscal responsibility to Washington and renew the Age of America.
We look forward to working closely with you.
Sincerely,
The Republican Study Committee
Constitutionalists in the Congress MUST be encouraged and empowered by We the People to stand their ground! They MUST hear from us that we WILL NOT STAND FOR THEM RAISING THE DEBT CEILING, VOTING FOR ANY LEGISLATION, including budget bills ostensibly "necessary" to avoid Federal default or government shutdown, if there is included or continued ONE RED CENT of funds for the UNCONSTITUTIONAL, BUDGET-BUSTING, DEATH-DEALING betrayal of our Republic known and rejected by America as ObamaCare. Any balanced budget provisions, moreover, must be predicated upon spending REDUCTIONS, and NOT ON TAX INCREASES - NO NEW TAXES!
So join with me in endorsing the Republican Study Committee letter that draws the line!
