The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 23% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -17 (see trends).
The president's Approval Index ratings have fallen nine points since Monday as the crisis in Egypt unfolds. Most of the decline comes from a fall in the number who Strongly Approve of the president's performance (30% on Monday, 23% now). However, for the first time since mid-December, the number who Strongly Disapprove has moved back over the 40% mark for five straight days. The Strongly Disapprove total had been above 40% for most of 2010 but fell to the high-30s after the president and Senate Republicans reached a deal to extend the Bush Administration tax cuts.

Don adds The Rasmussen poll linked , showing a -17 Approval Index for Barack Obama, means that Obama MUST step down now.
I didn't say that. Barack Obama did. He has demanded that Mubarak step down and his only rationale for this demand has been "democracy." Obama claims that the people have demanded Mubarak's removal from office and on that criterion alone, he must go. Obama at no time mentioned any other criterion except the drop in the people's approval of Mubarak. So that being the case, Barack, who is no longer wanted by the people, must also go. and to use Barack's own words: "the transition must be meaningful, must be peaceful and it must begin NOW." Donald Hank adds: Last week, Obama lost 9 popularity points. This could be one of the reasons. His demand that Mubarak, one of the best friends the US and Israel have in the Middle East, may have been another. Of course, it may have to do with his defying a Supreme Court decision, or, or...
