Sue Lowden Enters Race for Lieutenant Guv

(Las Vegas, Nevada) – Former Nevada state senator Sue Lowden officially announced today that she will be a Republican candidate for lieutenant governor next year, saying if elected she will make the position her full-time job.

“I’ve taken my time and traveled all over the state this summer, testing the waters and taking the temperature of Nevada families and businesses,” said Lowden. “The people I’ve talked to in coffee shops and grocery stores are still hurting. They want help. They need help. And they’ve encouraged me to run. So I’m in.”

FATHER OF KIRNER TAX HAS A COW

In a spleen-venting, p*ss-and-vinegar letter-to-the-editor complaining about my Kirner Tax column published in the Nevada Appeal, Gumby Assemblyman Randy “Kirner Tax” Kirner (R-Kirner Tax), father of the Kirner Tax (www.KirnerTax.com), wrote…

“Bottom-line, his (Chuck Muth’s) opinion page missive is political and lacks respect for the legislative process, my colleagues, myself and most especially you the reader as he tries to bully us with his political agenda.”

Well, um, duh. My weekly Nevada Appeal column is a political column. I don’t write about travel, food or sports; I write about politics. That’s what makes it, um, political.

Secondly, I have a lot of respect for the legislative process. Problem is, Kirner attempted to circumvent the will of the people themselves by passing the buck and kicking the can with his scheme to get the members of the Washoe County Commission to approve a tax hike instead of getting 2/3 of the Legislature to pass it.

Thirdly, if by “colleagues” Kirner is referring to his gaggle of moderate Republicans who regularly wipe their feet on the Republican Party platform and sell us out to the Democrats for a handful of magic beans because they’re too afraid or too incompetent to act like a true opposition party…then, yeah, guilty as charged.

The Common Sense Show

As America races toward her date with destiny, there is yet another “fundamentally transforming” event coming her way and that event is known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).

Many of us in the alternative media believe that some of the effects of the TPP will be felt before the coming war and martial law crackdown. However, after careful analysis, I am convinced that the brunt of the TPP will be felt after the America we know has been totally taken over in a post-war and post-economic collapse scenario. At the end of the day, it does not matter when the implementation of the TPP comes, because when it does, America will no longer be recognizable to anyone who has grown up in this once great country
