If They Come For Your Guns, Do You Have A Responsibility To Fight?

Gun control is the issue before the people of America today and I’ve written many articles on the topic. While some have said this is a distraction from things like Benghazi and Fast and Furious, I have not lost sight of those things. In fact, I just wrote on Benghazi on Saturday. As information is gained on those issues I try to keep up, just remember I’m only human. With that in mind, I came across a most excellent writing by Dean Garrison at D.C. Clothesline and wanted to share it with you. I think those of you in my audience will appreciate this immensely. Mr. Garrison has given Freedom Outpost permission to republish the article in full. I welcome your comments.
I feel a tremendous responsibility to write this article though I am a little apprehensive. Thinking about the possibility of rising up against our own government is a frightening thing for many of us. I am not Johnny Rambo and I will be the first to admit that I do not want to die. The reason I feel compelled to write this, however, is simply because I don’t think the average American is equipped with the facts.I feel that a lot of American citizens feel like they have no choice but to surrender their guns if the government comes for them. I blame traditional media sources for this mass brainwash and I carry the responsibility of all small independent bloggers to tell the truth. So my focus today is to lay out your constitutional rights as an American, and let you decide what to do with those rights.

Comment: Yep...and Powell the phony says that too.  In other words, it is EXACTLY as we've said, for 4 years at least, that it is......the lefty dems and repugs are on the same side.  There is NO republican party, Jenny's basically a conservative (especially being related to TR); I'm an actual, issue-oriented, centrist registered dem...and Powell is light years LEFT of me.  So is RINO Boehner and mcamensty, etc.  The Point?: there is no republican party.

The following coalition letter was faxed to the Governor’s office this morning in advance of his State of the State address tomorrow evening.  You can click here to download a copy of the actual letter.
 
Dear Gov. Sandoval,

As you complete work on the upcoming budget in advance of the 2013 legislative session, we write to express concern over your stated intent to seek a second extension of the “temporary” tax increases that were passed in 2009 over the objection of your predessor, Republican Gov. Jim Gibbons.

We firmly and unalterably believe now is the time to allow those tax hikes to sunset, as promised to the taxpayers of Nevada at the time, before the Legislature succeeds in making them permanent.

We also wish to remind you of the official Nevada Republican Party platform position on the issue of tax increases, as passed unanimously by Republican delegates to the GOP state convention last spring:

1.  BRAC the Budget
I am in favor of not raising the debt ceiling unless the President and Democrats come up with meaningful spending cuts and reforms.

Contrary to a lot of the Democrats’ spin, the federal government will not default if the debt ceiling is not raised. Only if Little Timmy Geithner decides to not pay certain debts will the government default. It is his choice.

But I do think Republicans should be proactive in their approach to the debt ceiling. I think they should have a plan.
