Senators Request Biden Administration Acknowledge Religious Persecution in Nigeria

  • After the Biden Administration failed to redesignate Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern, Senators Rubio and Josh Hawley (R-MO) released a statement requesting the administration reverse course and acknowledge the attacks on Christians that take place on Nigerian soil.

  • Senator Rubio and Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) sent a letter to President Joe Biden in support of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ request to declare a major disaster following Hurricane Nicole. 

  • Senator Rubio, along with Senators Jacky Rosen (D-N), James Lankford (R-OK), and fellow members of the Senate and House Bipartisan Task Forces for Combatting Antisemitism, sent a letter to President Joe Biden calling for the development of a whole-of-government strategy to counter Antisemitism. 

  • Senator Rubio and U.S. Representative Mike Gallagher (R-WI) sent a letter to U.S. Customs and Border Protection Acting Commissioner Troy Miller and U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas expressing their disapproval of using taxpayer funds to subsidize China’s human rights abuses.
