The First take: As the military conflict between Israel and Hamas hits a fourth day, there are calls coming from several places to stop the fighting. We've seen this movie before and we know Israel is not likely to stop punching back against the terrorists raining rockets and missiles on its people until the aggression has ended.

The First take: We had a mask burning party last night. But, we also wondered about the timing of this well-orchestrated announcement. Was the CDC relaxing the rules on mask wearing just coincidentally happening as the Biden Administration has been struggling with a host of crises around the country and around the world? Coincidence? We think not.
