WEEKLY UPDATE Dear Friends, Monday I presented HB 791, Workforce and Postsecondary Education in the Education & Employment Committee. The bill passed favorably with 21 yeas and 0 nays. This was my last bill to pass through committee this Session. The bill is now waiting to be assigned to the Special-Order Calendar and be presented on the House floor. Tuesday FiTV came over to the Capitol to discuss two of my passion bills this session, HB 133 Newborn Infants and HB 735 – Preemption of Local Occupational Licensing. Wednesday I also had an interview with Americans for Prosperity, a great organization, to discuss HB 735 which is the Preemption of Local Occupational Licensing bill.
