A year ago, Jim Osburn, was fighting for his life while a team of staff members from Lake City Middle School worked feverishly to keep him alive after he was involved in a workplace accident. Last week, during the Columbia County School Board meeting, the employees whose heroic efforts saved Osburn’s life were recognized for their quick actions and lifesaving techniques. Monticello News recently shared a piece that asked small children to share things they know to be true.
