A young man and his father have taken a proactive approach in helping prevent drownings along Panama City Beach. 14-year-old Kaial Hajik, has created Lifebokx – a box filled with life-saving gear that equips any beachgoer with the tools to save others lives as well as preserve their own. After Hurricane Michael, many families were left without food, power, their homes, and a place to sleep. Local charity, Sleep in Heavenly Peace made an effort to build bunkbeds for those who have been without a place to rest their head – they just surpassed their 500th bed this past week.
