Headline: CBP Commissioner Mark Morgan’s Twitter account reportedly suspended
What's Up: Twitter initially claimed they suspended CBP Commissioner Mark Morgan's account for violating the social media site's rules covering "hateful conduct." Morgan's post was just a factual list of what happens when a border wall is in place. Hours later, after having to appeal his case to the Twitter police, the suspension was lifted and the account was restored.
Quote: "'Every mile helps stop gang members, murderers, sexual predators, and drugs from entering our country. It’s a fact, walls work,' Morgan’s post said." — NYPost.com
The First take: Yes, this is the same week Twitter's CEO Jack Dorsey was called out by senators for suppressing content of Conservatives and blocking the NY Post for linking to the story about Hunter Biden's emails. This should serve as a solid reminder that in the Social Media Court system, you are guilty until you can prove yourself innocent. And, as the Post as learned, even when acquitted, your content can still be blocked. |
