Conservatives, Here at the MRC, we have been using a lot of “Orwellian” references to describe Big Tech (Big Brother) and the media’s (Thought Police) manipulation of truth and facts. All rightly so. Let’s toss another one into the fire. “Fahrenheit 451,” a dystopian novel about a future where books are burned to destroy knowledge, suppressing dissent and eradicating contrary views — a prophetic vision of today’s media, where conservative ideas are eradicated, and “inconvenient truths” about the Left are burned with a stroke of a keyboard.
Welcome to 2020, two weeks prior to the most important presidential election in our lifetimes. Everything is upside down: Right is wrong. Wrong is right. Fiction is fact. Fact is fiction.
