WEEKLY UPDATE As the story goes, Benjamin Franklin was asked after the constitutional convention in 1787, “Well, doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” He replied, “A republic, if you can keep it.” We’re doing our part to keep our republic by working hard to get the word out about our conservative vision and platform. This week, I wanted to share some recent scenes from the campaign trail. We’re putting out signs. We’re knocking on doors. We’re connecting with our community. And we’re doing it all together. As we celebrate the Fourth of July tomorrow, let’s remember the bold commitment the men who signed the Declaration of Independence made 244 years ago: “And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”   I pray we’ll continue to rely firmly on the protection of divine providence as we work together to preserve the legacy of liberty we’ve been blessed to inherit. Future generations of Americans are counting on us. I’m happy to do my part, and I’m so glad to have you on our team. Happy Independence Day!
