The Washington State legislature, with Dem majorities in both houses, is debating whether to extend the state of emergency for three more years. That would give Gov. Inslee unlimited power to close churches, silent speakers, shutter businesses and towns,no access to schools, no access to doctors or hospitals, order the arrest of people on specious public health grounds, etc.
Months ago, Inslee ordered the total destruction of the vaping industry in Washington State. No appeal, no compensation. All were closed and bankrupted. At that time I wondered how he had such power. I did not think he had it then. The prospect of such unlimited power over every detail of life for three more years makes me think of leaving this state.
