At a time when the two warring tribes of Americans should be coming together to fight a common enemy, and many are, some leading politicians such as Democrat Senator and failed presidential candidate, Kirsten Gillibrand, cannot seem to slake the toxicity they are deeply steeped in.
In an article published in the anti-Trump Yahoo News, she was given voice to say.....
“He [Trump] squandered three months of time”

OK....let's take these accusations, one at a time:
1) He knew from his intelligence community in January that this was a highly contagious virus that would soon be on our shores,
The first case in America was Jan. 21st. Little more than a week later; Trump imposed an heretofore unheard of travel ban to/from China where the virus was at that time. He was accused of racism and worse but those who now say he didn't do anything. this alone has saved countless American lives.
2) What his administration should have done sooner and faster, according to her: Warn hospitals, roll out testing, let labs nationwide develop their own tests, use federal powers to manufacture more ventilators, masks, gowns and test kit

3) “He squandered three months of time,” Gillibrand says.

If you consider late January as a reasonable "awareness date," then it's even less true.
Nothing has been squandered. Trump has done a fantastic job with the Covid-19, considering his political
opposition has not cooperated to help the American people, preferring to sit on the sidelines and unfairly critique
him in the hope it will offer them some advantage in the upcoming election.
Ms. Gillibrand is a petty, partisan, LIAR. She has made an impressive career out of lying. She was originally elected on the claim that she was a pro-gun, pro-life NY "upstater." Proved to be a total lie. Pinocchio in a skirt. Sure, Trump is not perfect, but being a critic is the easiest thing in the world; and when you're willing to lie, as she does about Trump, it's even EASIER. What is wrong with the people in NY State that would put such a person into the US Senate, more than once?
I'm not even going to mention Obama/Biden's flaccid response to the Swine Flu pandemic, which saw more than 12,000 Americans die before they decided to ac at all. Where was Gillibrand then? Was she saying Obama squandered six months?
Joe Biden probably doesn't even remember it; it was so long ago (11 years)
After we get this pandemic behind us, there will be plenty of time to critique politicians -- of all levels and locales.
To singularly attack the president while in the midst of this battle, is not only ill-advised, it is bone-headedly wrong.
