All Russian Roads Lead Back to Obama
Yesterday, Nancy Pelosi stormed out of a White House meeting with President Trump, charging, “With you, all roads lead to Putin.” The Speaker, who seems to have age-associated memory problems, may have thought she was talking to Trump’s predecessor, Barack Obama.
When Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, it wasn’t Trump who responded with nothing more than whining.
It wasn’t the Donald who pulled our missile shields out of Poland and the Czech Republic, which Mitt Romney called a “gift to Russia.”
It wasn’t Donald Trump who was caught on a live microphone, telling then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to tell Putin that he’d “have more flexibility” to give the Kremlin what it wanted after the upcoming presidential election.
And it wasn’t POTUS who all but invited Russian tanks and warplanes into Syria in 2014, under the deluded belief that Russia would help to defuse the situation. And the last time Moscow helped to defuse a situation – any situation – was…
No, that would be Obama, Obama and Obama. So while the Democrats spin their conspiracy theories about Russian interference in the 2016 election to serve Trump, the man who was Putin’s bitch for most of his term in office escapes scrutiny.
The Democrats have been the party of appeasement going back to Cold War days. Their negotiating tactic: Give them whatever they want and hope they’ll leave us alone. Obama was part of that grand tradition.
And now, the party of appeasement in effect charges Trump with treason. How quaint.
