FLORIDA - JOE HARDING WEEKLY UPDATE 09/13/2019

WEEKLY UPDATE On Tuesday of this week, I attended the Marion County Legislative Delegation Meeting. The highlight for me was hearing success stories from students involved in Pace Center for Girls and Project Lift. These two organizations in our own backyard are doing hard, wonderful work that changes lives. Too often, we only hear about the negative in our community, and to hear the positive stories was very encouraging. In fact, the entire meeting was encouraging, as I’m so proud of the work our Legislative Delegation has accomplished, and I look forward to joining them by serving House District 22 soon. This week, I was also incredibly honored and humbled to announce the endorsement of Linda Fugate, Levy County Tax Collector. She is the model of a servant leader who serves her community because she cares for it, and we are honored by her trust and friendship. Read more about her endorsement by clicking here. Finally, this week’s 18th anniversary of September 11 reminds us all over again of the 2,977 people who died in the worst terrorist attack our nation has ever experienced. That day will forever be etched in my memory, as I know it is in yours. From the brave first responders to the mom who lost her life as she worked to provide for her family, we will never forget. We all have a role to play in making sure it never happens again, and I am committed to doing everything possible to keep Floridians safe. Thanks so much for your friendship and support.
