National Security Agency whistleblower Edward Snowden wants to fight back against corporate surveillance by Instagram and its parent company Facebook, as well as YouTube, which is owned by Google. In a tweet rant posted on Twitter, Snowden expressed that both social media giants owned by Mark Zuckerberg were involved in spying on their users, as well as YouTube. Snowden also announced that he has created new accounts on the platforms and that he will explain how the sites spy on users. He added, that he would “explain methods to limit how much they know about you,” if you choose to use them.

More than 300 people were arrested Saturday during protests in Moscow calling for fair and free upcoming local elections, according to an independent monitoring group. During the unauthorized demonstration, 311 people were arrested, said OVD-info. However Russia's Ministry of Interior put the number of detainees much lower, at 30, and said that only 350 people had taken part in the protests.

George Soros, the controversial billionaire financier who has been accused of influencing everything from protests, to elections and market crashes, has created a super PAC for the Democratic Party in the lead up to the 2020 election, Politico reported. Soros kicked off the funding for the PAC with a mind-boggling $5.1 million check. The billionaire has not said which specific candidate is his favorite in this race, but it seems that whoever gets the Democratic nomination will have access to the PAC regardless.
