His father spent a year in prison on money laundering and campaign finance charges.

A retired FBI agent said "it defies reasoning" that the 83 year-old father would have orchestrated the illegal scheme without his Congressman son's knowledge and help.

But with the help of the Obama DOJ Ami Bera was given a pass. Now two years later voters have a chance to retire Bera and elect Marine, Intel officer and businessman Andrew Grant.

It “defies reasoning” that Ami Bera didn’t know his dad was breaking the law
More voices are protesting the sheer suspension of disbelief needed to accept that Ami Bera had no knowledge of his father’s illegal activities.
James Wedick, a retired FBI agent who worked on high-profile public corruption probes is the latest person to point out that in a situation where Ami Bera’s family members and friends were involved in a sophisticated straw donor scheme it “defies reasoning” that Ami wouldn’t have known what was happening.
Then for the Obama Justice Department to announce in a news conference no charges against Ami Bera makes the entire situation extraordinary and questionable whether politics had more to do with it. 
There is no precedent for the FBI or DOJ to publicly announce the close of an investigation. So why did they do it for Ami Bera? And why so close to the 2016 election?
