Foretold in Daniel 11 as King of North “Overflows,” Christ said to understand the book of Daniel. His 11th chapter is an account of historic conflict from the days of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon who came from the north to conquer Egypt, the king of the south, Ezekiel 26.
But “at the time of the end,” (Daniel 11:40) the king of Babylon has changed to spiritual Babylon exposed in Revelation 17.
If one understands that a woman in prophecy represents a church, the harlot in Revelation 17 can only fit the papacy, involved with kings, wealthy, dressed in scarlet, a mother church, and drunken with the blood of martyrs, all of this in the first six verses, and sitting on 7 hills, verse 9.
