Will Rahn
absolutely NAILS IT in this post-election commentary on the “unbearable
smugness of the press”…
“The mood in the Washington press corps is bleak, and deservedly so.“It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that, with a few exceptions, we were all tacitly or explicitly #WithHer, which has led to a certain anguish in the face of Donald Trump’s victory. More than that and more importantly, we also missed the story, after having spent months mocking the people who had a better sense of what was going on.“This is all symptomatic of modern journalism’s great moral and intellectual failing: its unbearable smugness. Had Hillary Clinton won, there’d be a winking ‘we did it’ feeling in the press, a sense that we were brave and called Trump a liar and saved the republic.“So much for that. The audience for our glib analysis and contempt for much of the electorate, it turned out, was rather limited. This was particularly true when it came to voters, the ones who turned out by the millions to deliver not only a rebuke to the political system but also the people who cover it. Trump knew what he was doing when he invited his crowds to jeer and hiss the reporters covering him. They hate us, and have for some time.”
Rahn wasn’t writing specifically about Nevada’s liberal
ass-clown blogger Jon Ralston…but he
could have been!
Cheers. And Happy Thanksgiving!

P.S. Speaking of
irritating liberals, I received this note in response to one of the mailers
Citizen Outreach did last month on a tax-hike issue…
“Mr. Muth: Never send anything to my address again. Remove me from any mailing lists you have now. You can take this piece of propaganda and shove it up your anti-tax crusading ass! Sincerely, Allison Chaney.”
I wonder if “Allison Chaney” is a pseudonym for tax-hiking
Gov. Brian Sandoval?

Get this: Anti-cop/anti-American jerkwad Colin Kaepernick – the mediocre
quarterback for the hapless San Franciso 49ers who made a name for himself this
season by refusing to stand during the National Anthem – didn’t even bother to
vote in the election!
In response, ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith gave the assclown “a brutal verbal beatdown.”

UNR’s Crying Game is
a Source of Major League Shame
By Chuck Muth
“There’s no crying in baseball!” actor Tom Hanks famously
declared in the 1992 movie “A League of Their Own.”
Alas, Hanks’ admonition apparently doesn’t apply to liberals
who suffered a colossal electoral loss on November 8th to Donald
Trump. Indeed, they are, quite
literally, crying a river from coast to coast.
Following the debacle that was the “Crooked Hillary”
campaign, some college campuses have actually brought in grief counselors to
help super-sad students deal with the loss.
Unfortunately, and shamefully, such nonsense has infected our very own University
of Nevada, Reno.
Following Trump’s election, UNR President Marc Johnson and
Provost Kevin Carman issued a ridiculously absurd statement designed to sooth
the hurt feelings of the super-sensitive “participation trophy” millennials populating
their campus.
QUICK HITS
* * So, a
16-year-old boy and 17-year-old girl “allegedly” gunned-down the grandson of a
black congressman from Chicago “following an argument over a pair of basketball
shoes.”
The left, of course, is blaming guns rather than the prevalent
violent inner city culture for this tragic loss of life. And until the black community understands and
accepts this reality, these incidents will continue…guns or no guns.
* * Now this is funny: Not only has liberal Nevada
blogger Jon Ralston lost his last
remaining column in a Nevada print newspaper after being dumped by the Reno Gazette-Journal last weekend,
he’s now working at an online newsblog I originally founded back in 2009!
