Big Labor wants revenge.
Four states have enacted Right to Work laws in the last four years, thanks to the unwavering support and generosity of Right to Work supporters across the country like you.
Workers in more than half the states can no longer be forced to pay tribute to union bosses just to get or keep a job...
...and that has the union bosses steaming mad and searching hungrily for new sources of forced-dues revenue.
Union bosses and their allies are scheming to repeal or gut existing state Right to Work laws by any means necessary.
That's why I need your help once again.
You see, union bosses in South Dakota -- which has been a Right to Work state since 1947 -- have proposed a deceptive ballot initiative to gut the law and allow Big Labor to demand "fees" for any so-called "services."
Right to Work gives South Dakota an enormous economic advantage -- lower unemployment and higher real disposable income with a lower cost of living than forced-dues states.
In fact, private sector employment jumped over 11% in the last decade in South Dakota -- beating forced-unionism states by almost two-to-one.
But now union bosses want to slip their hands back into South Dakotans' pockets by pulling a fast one on voters.
You and I cannot afford to let Big Labor gut the state's Right to Work law.
You can be sure the pro-forced unionism national media can't wait to tell Americans that Right to Work is running out of steam. They're eager to portray our progress over the past four years as a bubble that has popped.
Even worse, if Big Labor succeeds in South Dakota, a flood of copycat ballot initiatives will follow. Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Nebraska and Nevada are just some of the Right to Work states where Big Labor could try this scheme next.
Those may be battles we can win with sufficient resources, but let's face facts: every dollar spent defending existing Right to Work laws is a dollar we cannot use to pass more state Right to Work laws, and eventually, a National Right to Work law.
That's why winning in South Dakota is so vital, not just for South Dakotans but for every American who believes forced unionism is a blight on our country that must be ended.
With your help, the National Right to Work Committee will implement its plan to fight back:
*** Contact directly by mail and e-mail South Dakotans to ensure they get the truth about the freedom,
jobs and economic prosperity that go hand-in-hand with Right to Work;
*** Run detailed Facebook, Google and internet ads, designed to target like-minded citizens to alert
them to this threat;
*** Write op-eds and personally brief favorable media figures who can help expose this scheme and
mobilize public opinion; and
*** Run TV, radio, and newspaper ads combatting Big Labor's lies about Right to Work, if necessary and
if funding permits.
Of course, this all takes money. The good news is, nearly 80 percent of South Dakotans agree it's wrong to force workers to pay union dues to have a job.
With early voting for the November 8 General Election starting in just a month, there's no time to waste.
That's why I'm counting on your most generous and IMMEDIATE support.
Won't you please agree to your most generous gift of $50 right away?
I know that's a lot.
But we simply must have all hands on deck.
But if $50 is just too much, won't you please agree to $25 or at least $10?
Your generosity today could make a world of difference.
Union bosses want to force their hands back into South Dakota workers' wallets and gut the Right to Work law.
You and I must fight back.
Please agree to your most generous contribution of $50, $25 or at least $10 TODAY!
Sincerely,
Mark Mix
P.S. Union bosses are going after South Dakota's longstanding and popular Right to Work law this election year with a deceptive ballot measure that would gut the law.
And if they can restore their power to demand independent-minded workers be fired in South Dakota, it's only a matter of time before they try this scheme in other Right to Work states.
It's absolutely critical you and I fight back today.
So won't you please agree to your most generous contribution of $50, $25 or at least $10 IMMEDIATELY?
