Omowale was speaking in an interview set to air Sunday night on this reporter’s talk radio program, “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio,” broadcast on New York’s AM 970 The Answer and News Talk 990 AM in Philadelphia.
Omowale used the interview to claim five states as belonging to the “Black Nation”: Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Alabama, and Georgia.
The revolutionary stated: “We just need to start migrating back to those states and taking control of the economics in those states. If black people move in, most definitely white people will move out. So it’s not a hard process for us to have our own country within a country.”
Omowale is also co-founder of the Huey P. Newton Gun Club, a black militant gun group named after Black Panther Party founder Huey P. Newton. According to reports, Dallas shooter Micah X. Johnson “liked” the Huey P. Newton Gun Club and Omawale has saidthat he recognized Johnson from black community events in Dallas.
Asked by this reporter what his group’s endgame is, Omowale replied:
The end game is land ownership. The endgame is our own government in a nation within a nation. Okay. So we claim the states of Louisiana, we claim the states of Mississippi, we claim the states of South Carolina, we claim the states of Alabama, and we claim the states of Georgia.
We just need to start migrating back to those states and taking control of the economics in those states. If black people move in, most definitely white people will move out. So it’s not a hard process for us to have our own country within a country.
For now, however, Omowale says the goals are more short-term:
There is no way that we can totally separate ourselves in the United States of America and we are aware of that. We know that we are owed land, we are owed monies, we are owed restitutions and we are owed reparations. That’s going to be a continuing process. What we are saying right now is we want to control the economics in our community. We want to control the black dollars. The money that goes in, the money that goes out.
We want to control the politics in our community. If a politician is not bringing anything to the table for the betterment of that community, we are not going to vote for these particular people. And we most definitely want to control the education. What our people are learning in what we call the public fool system, not school system, where they are teaching and misrepresenting the true history of the black man here in the United States.
The Huey P. Newton Gun Club says on its website it is seeking to “develop over time to a regimented Black Army.”
“Our mission is to educate the masses of black people on the necessity of self,” states the website. “That includes self-preservation, self-defense, and self-sufficiency through militant culture.”
“We want freedom. We want the power to practice self-determination, and to determine the destiny of our community and THE BLACK NATION.”

2. We want an immediate end to POLICE HARASSMENT, BRUTALITY and MURDER of Black People.
We want an end to Black-on-Black violence, “snitching,” cooperation and collaboration with the oppressor. We believe we can end police brutality in our community by organizing Black self-defense groups (Black People’s Militias/Gun Clubs) that are dedicated to defending our Black Community from racist, fascist, police/ military oppression and brutality.
The Second Amendment of America’s Constitution gives a right to bear arms. We therefore believe that all Black People should unite and form and “African United Front” and arm ourselves for self-defense and survival.

3. We want all black men and women to be legally armed throughout the United States. We believe it is our duty to educate the masses of black men and women on the constitution and federal, state and local gun laws
4. We want an immediate end to police brutality and terrorism throughout the black community We believe by doing community patrols that we can police our own communities and lessen the impact of police brutality in our neighborhoods.
5. We want to open a dialogue with the youth about black on black gun violence and fratricide in our communities. We believe that we have an opportunity to educate the youth on gun violence in the black community by being in their communities and being visible on patrols.

6. WE DEMAND AN END TO THE RACIST DEATH PENALTY AS IT IS APPLIED TO BLACK AND OPPRESSED PEOPLE IN AMERICA. WE DEMAND FREEDOM FOR ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS OF THE BLACK RED AND BROWN NATION!

Local Objectives

1. TO DEVELOP BLACK POWER THROUGH EDUCATION:
We, the Huey P Newton Gun Club, work to educate our people, particularly the youth. To that end, our movement educates and teaches the community at our weekly meetings; public forums, rallies; programs; town hall meetings; on the streets; in the schools; in the projects; on the radio; through electronic and print media, and anywhere where knowledge needs to be forwarded. Most of our youth are currently in the public school system. For this reason we will take an active role in school board affairs and general work in the regional public schools. We will struggle to turn the local school board back into the electoral hands of our people.

2. TO DEVELOP AND ENFORCE ACCOUNTABILITY IN LAW ENFORCEMENT AND THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM:
We respect the Police in our community who show proper respect for our community. We respect those in authority as long they respect us. We, the Huey P Newton Gun Club, mobilize and organize for an end to police brutality and misconduct. We demand the police in our community, and elsewhere, respect the Human Rights of our people and their constitutional rights. We strive for community police review boards with legal power to seek indictments, punish and discipline rogue police officers. We will monitor and observe the police according to the law. We call for an immediate end to surveillance cameras in the Black community. We struggle to reform areas in our community or nation from the negative behavior that is imposed upon us. We believe in our divine and legal rights to self-defense after centuries of state regulated abuse and terrorism. The criminal justice system must be held accountable to the will of our people, and not support an industrial complex, capitalizing in profit to see our people continuously incarcerated. Of course, our work is in the jails and prisons where many great brothers and sisters are locked up. We demand immediate freedom for all political prisoners and prisoners of racist political circumstance.

Political Framework

Written by The Founding Dallas Council
Our organization, the Huey Percy Newton Gun Club, is the latest attempt to resurrect the minds of black people within the borders of the United States of America. We do so humbly, patiently, and without ego. At this point in history we realize that Black people in the western hemisphere have always promoted armed self-defense first with rebellions on slave ships and most notably with the Haitian Revolution that began in 1791. In the spirit of the Marrons societies throughout the Americas, that worked towards liberation of our people and the various insurrections that we are aware of and also unaware of, we formed the Huey Percy Newton Gun Club. We invoke ancestor Huey Newton because since his murder in 1989 in Oakland, California there has been an attempt to massacre and defame his legacy. Using Huey’s name is logical to us based on this point in history where black men and women are murdered wholesale by various police agencies around the United States. We strive with you to STOP these atrocities that effect our community, and are elated you desired to work with us to put in place a defense component with eventual offensive capabilities. We founded this organization on three “simple” points, it must be understood we do not want to reinvent a long drawn out platform or process.

1. We want immediate end to police brutality and the murder of black and brown.
2. We want to cease black on black violence and self-hatred.
3. We want to arm every black men and woman throughout the United States, which has been the greatest fear of the establishment.

In the city of Dallas not unlike any other city across America there is an issue with “police terrorism”. The term terrorism is used because of the systematic murders of unarmed defenseless black, brown, and poor people without regard for life.
Since 2001-2012 according to open records request done by “Dallas Communities Organizing for Change” there were 40 or more that lost their lives with no discretion from Dallas Police officers. Clinton Allen had been the most known locally murder of an unarmed individual being shot 7 times by Marine Corps Veteran and Dallas Police Officer Clark Staller #9514 on March 10th, 2010.
These conditions help spur the creation of the Huey P. Newton Gun Club as our first public “patrol” on August 20th, 2014. We promoted armed self-defense from blatant racist black and white racist cops. Dallas police Chief David Brown response was to have a SWAT team on standby encouraging a violent standoff.
Our mission was simply to educate the masses of black people in Dallas of their right to bear arms as mentioned in 2nd amendment the Constitution of the United States and also Article 1 of the Texas Constitution. What we found is largely a community that desires to be educated about arms.

People that have experience with weapons desire an organization to be a part of. These two types of people now have a platform within The Huey P. Newton Gun Club to fulfill these desires.
You and I have a duty to educate as many as we can about the proper usage of weapons, and also our political right to take a defensive stance towards the status quo that has committed the greatest act of terrorism against indigenous people world-wide.
Redirecting and ceasing self-hatred, which is often diagnosed as black on black violence, is a part of our program. Too many of us have fallen as a result of being colonized in America and without thought have killed one another.
We the Huey P Newton Gun Club accept the responsibility to intervene as often as we can and strive to convert these elements of our community into soldiers for the cause to uplifting the community. We feel that properly educating young men and women about weapons and anger can prevent careless acts from occurring. Additionally, by doing educational seminars such as camping, hunting, and mentorship programs shown results have shown positive results with the youth. In essence we take responsibility for the growth and development for our community which is an element to our nationalist ideals. We understand and know we will not win every person over to our methods and practices, however we accept we must walk this difficult path towards eventual armed struggle. Pivotal to our organizational foundation is the promoting of black men and women to bear and possess arms, to train and develop survival skills. The Huey P. Newton Gun Club intends on taking full advantage of promoting to the general black community their rights to exercise this point freely. We feel passionate about this position, because to us there is no theory above the practice of arming our community for self-defense.

We do not simply just want to be “militant” but rather develop over time to a regimented Black Army. A Black Army that will prevent and deter incidents like Sandra Bland, Mike Brown, or the Tulsa 1921 bombing from ever occurring again. We believe in freedom and our right as a nation within a nation to determine the political will and destiny of our people. It should be embarrassing to be colonized and we intend to change the course of our current condition and better the lives of those we serve. We are servants above anything else and more than militants we employ the revolutionary ideals of nationalism. Nationalism will only organize the talents that we currently possess as a people and aid our function as a nation. The beginning of this tasks is to arm the body and minds of black people in America in which the Huey P. Newton Gun Club intends to be a part of. In conclusion we want immediate end to police brutality and the murder of black people by those that perpetuate capitalism and white supremacy. We realize that our efforts must also be directed internally, which means we must love ourselves and treat each other the way we would like to be treated. Black is beautiful!! The ultimate goal is to unify mentally as well as politically the Afrikan mind worldwide and call for a Pan Afrikanist solution. With this in mind we have a political right to agitate for our own political freedom and journey for liberation.
