South China Sea

When I wrote my last article, “The South China Sea: Hillary Clinton,” it was not my intention to lessen the tragic situation in Benghazi during 2012 that led to the capture of four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens, who were then severely beaten and brutally tortured while being dragged through the streets before they were killed at a time when U.S. Special Forces were only two hours away without ever being called to rescue them. We must never forget those four men who were murdered in Benghazi after they were forsaken by then U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her staff. In December of 2012, the Sandy Hook Elementary hoax distracted us from what was never told to us about Benghazi.

Because this was the time during the first four years of the Obama Administration when Leon Panetta was Director of Intelligence, Dennis C. Blair was National Intelligence Director, Jim Jones was National Security Advisor, Robert M. Gates was U.S. Secretary of Defense and Susan Rice was U.S. Ambassador to the UN with a cabinet ranking, more than Benghazi was apparently handled with neglect. For instance, although the ISIS invasion into Iraq did not occur until June of 2014, it resulted in becoming one of the world’s greatest concerns due to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and all of the aforementioned failing to acquire intelligence and earlier acting effectively before it became a major threat.
Now the issue of the South China Sea is reaching the surface after China constructed a military base on Fiery Cross Reef with its airstrip and seaport that is designed to eventually control the most important maritime waterway in the world. This sea route reaches westward to the Indian Ocean through the narrow Strait of Malacca and northward from the South China Sea to the Strait of Formosa between Taiwan and mainland China into the East China Sea that Beijing also intends to control in the near future with greater naval sea power.
But what is just as tragic in the South China Sea has been the destruction of entire ecosystems within the reefs where fish and other marine animals once thrived.
Whenever Beijing decides to take any action in the South China Sea or elsewhere, it takes time to also study the American leadership in Washington years before any plan is made by Chinese leaders to start an operation such as constructing their strategic military base on the Fiery Cross Reef. Although work had begun for building that military base two years ago, it was definitely based upon what their leadership had learned through their intelligence about the U.S. policy in Southeast Asia during the time when Hillary Clinton served in the Obama Administration as U.S. Secretary of State. So what now exists in the South China Sea is definitely the result of polices that were then being established by Secretary Clinton, which became ineffective.
Unfortunately, to a large extent, the same can be said about the Islamic State or ISIS, which was based upon the policies that were established for Iraq and Syria by Secretary Clinton several years earlier. We sometimes forget that in most geopolitical matters, there is generally a delay of at least two years before any event or incident is actually carried out. Why? Because it takes time to plan and provide any logistical support for such an operation.
Furthermore, without adequate intelligence information, which was probably due to her inability to analyze and interpret such material correctly, Secretary Clinton made many wrong decisions that have led to the current situation in Western Europe where immigrants from Syria and the Middle East have fled for refuge while Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and the Islamic State keep murdering innocent civilians in those “killing fields.”
Now getting back to the South China Sea that is a significant part of the world’s most important maritime waterway. It serves as a “life line” for commerce and trade in East Asia and the Pacific Area as well as many points beyond. If it were controlled by China in the South China Sea, the economies of most nations throughout the world would be threatened. Unfortunately, based upon the earlier leadership of Secretary Clinton at the U.S. Department of State, due to the Chinese military base that is now in operation on Fiery Cross Reef, such a threat from Beijing already exists.
As I learned in college from a Hispanic fraternity brother over 50 years ago, “Once you give up a right, it will take a long time before you ever get it back.” Well, in spite of current U.S. naval patrols in the South China Sea, that is exactly what has happened and it will take a long time before that right for free access to navigate on and through international waterways will ever be returned unless far better leadership finally reaches Washington and the White House.
Unless you can see beyond the political rhetoric that we are being bombarded with daily by the corporate news media, that dilemma in the South China Sea will be hidden from the public. So that is why you must be willing to share this information with as many other Americans as it is possible. Please understand that we cannot afford to have Secretary Clinton return to the White House where she, according to her own words, was one of the “Presidents” when her husband was in office.
So if you really cherish your freedom, you will make the effort and take the time to share this very important information with other Americans. Thank you and may God bless America.
