MUTH’S TRUTHS
Here’s a cold splash of political reality from conservative
columnist Mark Davis…
"Most ‘Never Trump’ tantrums will subside if he is the standard bearer. Maybe not among elites and pundits who may not recover from the vapors, but real voters will stare down the barrel of a Hillary presidency come October and get clarity in a hurry. . . .“The realization will dawn that even the brash, inconsistently conservative Trump presidency is infinitely preferable to the certain disaster that would accompany the election of Hillary Clinton.
"Once his own party wises up and realizes this, his negatives will drop. They will drop further when they see him do something a Republican nominee has not done in a long while - go after a Democrat opponent with some energy and spine.“After watching John McCain and Mitt Romney’s soft touch against Barack Obama candidacies that swelled into the most harmful presidency in our history, this is the year for the GOP nominee to boldly identify the consequences of bringing about Obama’s third term. Does anyone doubt that Trump will do this?”
Cheers.

NEVADA NEWS & VIEWS
(Chuck Muth) - The money-chase in
the multi-candidate race in Nevada’s 3rd congressional district to replace
future U.S. Sen. Joe Heck appears to have narrowed the choice to Danny
Tarkanian and Michael “Tax Hike Mike” Roberson.
Due in large part
but not insignificantly to name ID, Tark is far outpacing the entire field in
recent polling. And he’s pretty much
matched Roberson dollar-for-dollar in fundraising despite Roberson’s
rain-making machine from the Republican establishment.
Roberson has about
$567,000 in primary spending money while Tark has about $513,000. By comparison, the Las Vegas Sun is reporting
that Andy Matthews has about $86,000 in the bank while Michele Fiore
is reporting around $74,000.
That just
ain’t enough gas to make it to the winner’s circle at the finish line.
Perennial gadfly
candidate Annette Teijeiro finished the quarter with $10,000 in the bank
- other than the money she has loaned her campaign. She has no public support
and no business being in this important race.
She’s also whining that
Tarkanian is using a video clip from a public campaign event that Teijeiro
posted on her campaign’s social media website.
Sorry, Charlie. But once you post
something like that on social media, it’s fair game in the wild, wild internet
West.
Teijeiro’s groundless
PR stunt does exactly what conservatives DON’T want done if they have any hope
of denying RINO Roberson the GOP nomination.
By attacking Tark instead of Roberson, Teijeiro is fulfilling the role
of “useful idiot” for Tax Hike Mike.

FAMOUS LAST WORDS
"Men have no business using women’s bathrooms and locker rooms. Period. . . . (Donald Trump) said that if Caitlyn Jenner came to Trump Tower, he could use any bathroom he wanted. That’s Mr. Trump’s prerogative on his own property. But businesses and organizations shouldn’t be forced by law to allow men pretending to be women to use women’s restrooms.” – Rev. Franklin Graham
