Assemblywoman Michele Fiore has released a statement regarding an
invitation to be on Jon Ralston's show.
"Imprudent
blogger Jon Ralston has invited me on his show to participate in a debate
in the third congressional race. While nothing is more important to me than
talking about the issues facing Nevadans and my plans to address them, I
will not go on the show of somebody who has exhibited such hatred and
contempt for me. Here are just a few of the examples of the attacks Jon has
launched on me.

I don't
mind when journalists disagree with or challenge me. Reporters like Steve
Sebilus and Ben Botkin are not fans of mine, however, their criticism is
professional and issue based. Not petty and personal.
This coupled with
the fact that despite claiming to be an objective journalist Jon has
clearly picked a favorite in the CD 3 race. Jon also receives payment and
support from that favorite, “Senator
Roberson”
To anyone that
watches his show, I apologize to you and invite you to our next pasta
dinner to discuss the issues our state and nation face directly. Join me in
one of the next 3 debates. I have debated my opponents in the past and
look forward to doing so again in the future, in a fair and neutral
setting."
