HAS ANYONE SEEN MY SHOTGUN?
So my almost-16-year-old daughter, Kristen, informed me
yesterday that the 16-year-old boy who she told me a couple weeks ago was “just
a friend” has since asked her to be his girlfriend…and she accepted.
Groan.
I am, of course, very happy for her. Another big step towards adulthood…which none
of us can stop. And the boy’s a good kid.
Homeschooled and working in a biz with Kristen teaching theater to other
homeschool kids.
But still pretty sad for me…knowing this is another sign
that the day she leaves the nest isn’t all that far away. Seems like only yesterday…
