Dear Fellow American,
The Bible says that God works in mysterious ways his wonders to perform.
He
can use American Christians to heal our land. But He can also use
foreign leaders and events or series of events to achieve His ends, as
He has done miraculously in recent times.
I
get a lot of blowback when I point out that the New World Order has
suffered severe setbacks recently and is for the moment unable to fight
back. That is true of both the European elites and the US elites at this
time in history. It is unprecedented. At no other time in recent
history has the integrity of the EU been so threatened, and at no other
time in history has the World Bank/IMF had such powerful competition.
But
since no commentators, conservative or liberal, bloggers or msm, have
come out boldly and connected the dots like this, many are hesitant to
accept this obvious truth, despite the overwhelming evidence. And the toughest pill for some to swallow is that God is achieving this without our help.
There
is now overwhelming opposition to the Washington demons world wide and
this happened independently of the efforts of Christian conservatives.
And yet, not without our prayers.
That
is how God works. It is not how American conservatives would have liked
it to end. Many of us want it to have ended as a result of our own efforts.
And indeed, some have made valiant efforts. And indeed they are heroes
by human reckoning. But what is happening now is independent of our
efforts.
So what is more important,
glory to our Creator or American exceptionalism and the notion of
America as the Indispensable Nation? Are we perhaps resentful of God for
achieving great strides on His own without involving us?
Listen, God needs it all to be about Him. Only Him.
If we are not ready to accept that and relinquish all of the glory for ourselves,
then we are truly unworthy, not only of the appellation "American
exceptionalism" but also of God's reward. After all, what good is a
nation that wants to go it alone without God? When we pray for God to
deliver us from our enemies, we had better be careful not to tack mental
provisions onto that prayer. If we ask God to do something, we can't
demand that His intervention be accomplished through our own efforts,
and that otherwise, we will politely refuse His help. How could we
benefit from His blessings if we are dead set on receiving the glory
ourselves!
Here is what Jesus said about receiving recognition from men:
6 “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.Matt. 6:1-3
