This is really a coincidence. I had just forwarded a
debate I had had with a Catholic leader over the pope's statement that US
immigration policies are racist and xenophobic. I was under the impression that
the pope was just naive, having been brought up in monasteries. But some
analysts are saying it goes a LOT deeper than that.
