Conservatives, John McCain is at it again... McCain has already announced yet another run for the U.S. Senate in Arizona - where his approval rating among Republicans is in free fall - and he is desperately trying to portray himself as a staunch and reliable conservative. It's a laughable claim, of course. But it's also no laughing matter for those of us demanding real accountability and leadership at this critical juncture in our nation's history. The reality is this claim could not be further from the truth, and the American Conservative Union (ACU) has called out John McCain for cherry-picking its ratings to propagate it. While Team McCain has cited a 91 percent rating from ACU for 2014 in recent social media posts, his lifetime average is much lower and he scored an ABYSMAL 52 percent for 2013. The truth is John McCain is the ultimate Washington insider, much more concerned with clinging to his political career and membership in the Beltway club than standing on any principle, conservative or otherwise. In 2013 McCain infamously lashed out at Senator Paul, Senator Ted Cruz and Representative Justin Amash, calling them "wacko birds" for daring to stand up to Barack Obama. He's been a staunch defender of the RINO establishment, including John Boehner. And over the last year, since the Arizona Republican Party officially censured him, he's done everything in his power to oust conservatives from state and local party leadership positions. Frankly, John McCain the textbook definition of "Republican sell out" and "RINO." It's time for real change in 2016, for Arizona and for the nation, built on true conservative principles and bold leadership. We're determined to make that a reality — that's why we're working to build a groundswell of support to draft "America's Toughest Sheriff," Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, to run for this Senate seat. Please read my email below from a few weeks ago, which explains why Sheriff Joe is the best candidate to take on and defeat John McCain, and join this effort today by signing the petition and making a donation at this secure link. At The Tea Party Leadership Fund we believe it's well past time that John McCain retire from the Senate. He's not going to do so on his own, so we need your help to make it happen. Please help today by signing the petition to draft Sheriff Joe. Sincerely, Katrina Pierson Spokesperson, The Tea Party Leadership Fund |
