Good morning. It’s Tuesday, February 25, 2014.  Twenty-eight years ago today, citizens of the Philippines awoke to find they had two people asserting that they had been duly elected president. In its crisis, the nation looked to the United States for a resolution.

The first claimant was the incumbent, Ferdinand E. Marcos, who insisted he’d won re-election on Feb. 7. But international voting monitors on the ground in the Philippines dismissed Marcos’ tally as obviously fraudulent. The clear choice of the Filipino people was Corazon C. Aquino, the reform-minded challenger.

Is the world a safer place now than it was when Barack Hussein Obama took office in 2009? If you answered "yes," then I invite you to remove your head from, uh, the sand.
Last week, outlining the growing Jihadist threat to our homeland, I cited recent testimony from Director of National Intelligence, Lt. Gen. James Clapper. When asked by Vice Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Saxby Chambliss (R-GA), "How would you characterize the probability of an al-Qa'ida-sponsored or inspired attack against the U.S. homeland today, as compared to 2001," Clapper responded, "I can't say the threat is any less. … Al-Qa'ida is morphing and franchising itself ... in Yemen, Somalia, in North Africa, in Syria ... and what's going on there … is very, very worrisome."
Clapper concluded, "Looking back over my more than half a century in intelligence, I have not experienced a time when we've been beset by more crises and threats around the globe."
So, now that we're "beset by more crises and threats," which have escalated during Obama's tenure and to a degree greater than at any time in the last 50 years, BO's Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel, who should provide cover for our combat troops, now insists on cutting Army troop strength to its lowest level since 1940, prior to World War II. (To be clear: We're not talking about some per-capita inflation-adjusted level, but the lowest absolute level since 1940.)

Dear Fellow Patriot,
The latest attack on our military from Obama and the Democrats is absolutely sickening.
Obama is proposing a 1-percent across-the-board cut for all US military pay. He also wants to slash military benefits for medical care and to increase costs for families through a proposal to raise prices at military commissaries.
What is especially monstrous about these cuts is that Obama is increasing benefits for illegal aliens. The ones who are fraudulently collecting Social Security received a 1.5-percent increase in 2014!
We need to swamp Congress with FaxGrams immediately and tell them to reject Obama's military cuts! This outrageous theft from our military has to stop!
