NEVADA - CITIZEN OUTREACH 12/31/2014

...adios 2014 and ALOHA 2015! I gotta tell ya, it’s gonna be tough to top the “red wave” election this year. But boy, oh boy, are we going to have some fun over the next few months with the Nevada Legislature back in town! And with all due modesty, I think it’s fair to say that without Silver State Confidential and Muth’s Truths almost no one but the “insiders” would know about all the games and shenanigans currently being played out in the Republican Assembly Caucus (RAC)… Like exposing how some disgruntled moderate members of the RAC were conspiring with Democrats to deploy the “nuclear option” and elect a Speaker other than the Speaker chosen by the majority of members of the GOP caucus… And how John Hambrick first double-crossed Paul Anderson and his supporters before double-crossing Michele Fiore and her supporters in his quest to become Speaker of the Assembly… And how Assemblyman Hambrick’s political consultant was caught using his firm’s postal permit to help elect a Democrat assembly candidate over a Republican candidate! And how another political consultant (or maybe the same one!) blackmailed Hambrick with a threat to sue every Republican member of the Nevada State Assembly. And then there’s the research done to make it easier for you to take action and have a real impact on the government – such as laying out the process and rules for mounting a recall of public officials who talk out of both sides of their mouth. And this was all over just the past TWO WEEKS! Indeed, it takes a lot of time and lot of resources and lot of connections - developed over more than 20 years in Nevada politics - to uncover the truth and expose the lies and misinformation put out by people in both parties who are adamantly opposed to fiscal conservatism. Click here to INVEST NOW But we have a lot more to come… On Monday, the Republican Assembly Caucus is scheduled to meet yet again (though I’m now hearing that Hambrick is trying to cancel that meeting rather than risk being ousted as Speaker-designee by a new vote). Two weeks from now, Gov. Sandoval will release his budget - including what is expected to be upwards of a billion dollars worth of tax hikes! That will be followed by the Governor’s State of the State Address, where he will attempt to blow smoke up our collective skirts and explain why we, the people, should bail the state out of the budget hole the governor himself dug. And that will be followed by Opening Day at the Nevada Legislature, where we’ll see if Pat Hickey and a few of the other moderate “old bulls” screw up the brass ones needed to deploy the “nuclear option.” And that will be followed up 10 days later with Opening Day for any and all recall efforts that may be targeted at selected and deserving Nevada legislators. And that will be followed up by another 110 days of “sausage grinding” as the Legislature does its business – including, as always, a considerable amount of “monkey business.” And as I’ve done now for two decades, I’ll bring all of it right to your desktop or mobile device in living color – the good, the bad, and especially the ugly.
