JOSEPH FARAH — No one is rooting harder for
a big Republican victory in the 2014 midterm election than I am. But
it's not because I like Republicans. In fact, with a few notable
individual exceptions, I don't even know what they stand for. I suspect
it's something like this: "We're not as bad as the other guys." And
that's a problem.... (more)

ARLEN WILLIAMS — If November 4th's
elections turn out as all the data gatherers, electoral analysts, and
yours truly presently assess, the Republican Party would most likely
gain the caucusing majority in the U.S. Senate, 52-48. That possibility
however is way too close to call, like calling ball or strike on a
knuckler halfway to the plate... (more)

CLIFF KINCAID — I learned about the passing
of former Washington Times columnist John Lofton as I was looking
through an old file of clippings and found a Lofton gem entitled, "Where
terrorism is rooted," from the July 5, 1985, issue of the paper. It's a
reminder of Lofton's important style of writing and the fact that the
Islamists we face today learned their style of warfare from the
Soviets... (more)

CINDY SIMPSON — As our nation considers
what President Obama now admits as "the real and growing threat" of
terrorism, the question must be asked: What is the "Obama Doctrine?" If
we discover that the answer, rather than a description of a
"half-hearted war on terror," is a similar but refocused version of the
Bush Doctrine -- we will find ourselves "stumbling" more than Sarah Palin to explain it to the likes of Charlie Gibson... (more)

WES VERNON, RA ANALYST — After a full
century of steady string of wars, each related to the others as in a
continuing narrative, one political scientist has undertaken to
categorize them and their warrior practitioners. The few who pay
attention will ask "Who cares?, War is war, Does any one of them require
a methodology niche?... (more)

KEN CONNOR — A recent Pew study made
headlines last week, revealing that "as values, economics, and gender
patterns change . . . the share of American adults that have never been
married is at an historic high." According to the report "adults are
marrying later in life, and the shares of adults cohabiting and raising
children outside of marriage have increased significantly. . . . In
addition, shifting public attitudes, hard economic times and changing
demographic patterns may all be contributing to the rising share of
never-married adults."... (more)

BRYAN FISCHER — The Supreme Court will,
perhaps even in this session, take up the issue of sodomy-based
marriage. If it does, justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor
will have an obligation to step off the bench for those cases on the
grounds that their impartiality has been severely compromised... (more)

WORLDNETDAILY — Ebola has now entered the
U.S. because of President Obama's open-borders policy, charged
talk-radio host Michael Savage. Savage who has a doctorate in
epidemiology, said Obama refused to employ the basic epidemiological
rule of quarantining a deadly virus, "because the far-left agenda is to
have an open-borders policy."... (more)

GARTH KANT — White House intruders are
nothing new. President Herbert Hoover had dinner unexpectedly
interrupted twice, once by a sightseer and again by a man demanding an
appointment. An uninvited guest watched a movie with President Franklin
Roosevelt, unnoticed until the lights came on. An intruder followed the
Marine Band and toured the White House on his own for 15 minutes during
the second inauguration of President Ronald Reagan. Two guests
successfully invited themselves to a state dinner with President Barack
Obama in 2009... (more)

NEWSMAX — President Barack Obama has missed
58 percent of the national security intelligence briefings during each
of his terms in office, political commentator and author Dick Morris
said Wednesday
on "America's Forum" on Newsmax TV. "When you miss an intelligence
briefing, it takes some effort," Morris explained. "They come to you and
usually it's the first thing in the morning and always an aide that
comes in... (more)

NEWSMAX — Oklahoma Attorney General Scott
Pruitt says there is evidence to suggest that a beheading at a food
processing plant in his state may have been terrorist-related and not
simply "workplace violence." Alton Nolen, 30, is charged with killing
his co-worker Colleen Hufford, 54, by cutting off her head, then
attacking and seriously injuring co-worker Traci Johnson, 43... (more)

CLIFF KINCAID — In a sympathetic profile
just before his resignation, Politico said Eric Holder's biggest legacy
may be "his quiet dismantling of the War on Drugs...." How he could have
"accomplished" this without legislative authority from Congress -- which is supposed to make and pass laws --
is never really explained. He was an Attorney General described by
President Barack Obama as "the people's lawyer." Anybody familiar with
Marxist jargon knew exactly what Obama meant... (more)

JEROME R. CORSI — While legions of

ALAN KEYES — This week, Ann Coulter finds
it hard to understand the way the GOP's elitist faction leaders are
approaching the 2014 election. But Rush Limbaugh shrewdly understood the
significance of their approach some time ago. The GOP's elitist faction
leadership doesn't mind "winning" the 2014 congressional elections, so
long as it's not a big, decisive victory... (more)
